that's a beautifully clean paint job dude, nice. Gorten's face and his goggles look really nice as well, i think the Gunbunnies( the blasters and gunners) couldve looked 110% better with a little rust dry brush application, give em a weathered look. im a Cryx player, so if you have painting trouble i can automatically feel your pain with painting hard to get to places heh
haha, i had some trouble with my bane knights as well, so many tiny details xD. I painted 24 bane knights, afterwards i was just like.....you guys BETTER not fail me, or it's a bucket of bleach for you, haha
Painted white as a highlight around the eyes and into the socket. Then washed thinned down blue paint over the area. Then went back over with tiny white highlights.
the high shields were never a great unit to begin either. there were mainly a bokur delivery system. now they only thing they lost really was a power 13 shot but that wasn't really all that great because they never hit anyway! dwarf forge guard is a nice unit. so you actually going to play dwarfs or was this a i just wanna paint something vid?
No I play dwarfs. I have the guard (unpainted) rockhammer and driller + the highshields (unit of 10). I have used Grundback a couple of times. I like him and just needed to get him painted up. He will be in the next MKII Battle report vid.
I also have the GW paints. The washes from GW are the best. I find the color choices really easy with P3. If you have a faction you like, buy just the paint set for that faction and give it a go. Because they have the highlight and lowlight for each color, it makes it easy.
well done, lovely rhulics!

Have you had any problems with any of your P3 paints separating or settling in the bottles?

Get yourself a paint set from P3 Privateer Press and start on just one figure - don't try a whole unit while you start out.

I also paint Cryx and yes they have some serious detail to paint. 18 bane Knights almost broke me! I vowed to never paint one again.

I agree, Dwarfs are good in MKII, although my friend thinks the Highsheilds have been nerfed. I don't agree and I think they will get a UA soon.

I prefer the P3 paints. They go on really smooth and the colors are easy to pick based on the factions.

Thanks for the tip :-)
But where can i buy those?
EmpireMate 2 years ago
Depends if you are UK/US? In the UK ebay is the best route.
