FUUUUUARK so many fuckin toys... this chick i know doesnt have any toys in her birds cage, and she likes to flick its head really hard. sometimes she hits it so hard that the bird looks like it blanks out for a few seconds.... one time she was flicking the bird in the eye so many times she made it bleed! is this dangerous? can the bird die? once she put the bird in water then threw it in the freezer for like 15 minnutes... the bird was shivering all night. should i tell someone? bird might die

Of course their isn't, because sand and grit can not be digested in the crop so it can eventually kill them. Parrots do not need grit or sand because they hull their seeds for the meat inside.

i dont understand why people cage BIRDS out of all things. That's so cruel to me...something that has a playground as big as the SKY does not want to be caged in a little box no matter how many human made toys you give it!

To a domesticated bird, a cage is a house. It's a place for food, rest, and safety. The bird does love to get out of its 'house,' but it will want to return to it at some point.

So it's really not cruel to put a domesticated bird in a cage (unless you're keeping it in there all the time and not letting it out to play).

Have you seen our other videos? Our birds only go in their cages to take naps and eat. They are out all the time even when we are not home. Our birds do not live their entire lives in cages like you think. They get to go places and even outside. In conclusion, our birds have a dream life that even I wish for. You can see the joy all over their little faces.  You need to keep your opinions to yourself if you can not recognize the people who are truly trying to change the way people keep birds.

I soooo love your videos - I rescue lovebirds and I love to play with them and you give me ideas. My Lovebirds often need behavior rehab which takes time, play, patience, and most of all love. Numb fingers from a muscle disease also is a bonus-- lol. My first LB "Gator" is learning to work as a therapy creature. She loves visiting with groups and playing now. She was soo very angry when she came here. Now she is so different. Love is a healing thing! Magi

It does take time and love. Trying new things also. I had to take all the items that Gator had she was territorial over away from her. The cage was even locked down with all the important things (food/water, perches, and many toys) were outside the cage - hanging on or in the area of the cage - this really helped her calm down and bond. Her play area began to expand daily and she is now working as a therapy bird. She has unlimited access to me. It is wonderful - magi

My Tweaky girl used to do that (She passed just this year :() She would even be out of her cage, free to roam, but would run back into her cage -just- to attack her bells like that! She would even sneak up on it x-D Then she would be happy and leave the cage.

Sorry guys, you are still wrong when it comes to BeBe. BeBe is out of his cage all day long except for sleeping at night and taking knaps. So when he is placed in his cage, this is the fit that he throws. In the morning if he is not uncovered by 8:00 am, this is how he shows he disapproval also; and when he does it he is not a "happy camper." Now he does play with his toys in the exact same manner also, but this is an entirely different situation when he is forced to go in his cage.

My lovebirds play like that. They attack all their toys and all other lovebird owners I've talked to say that this is how their's interact with their toys also.

But it looks the same as if he was angry so maybe he was at this particular time.
