How sweet. Most likely if his father was still here, none of the problems would have happened. Yes, Tiger is grown, but the loss of his father/mentor/confidante had a tremendous impact. That would cause anyone to lose focus or be led astray. His father would be just as proud of him anyway. His mother is saddened, but she still is going to back him up. I do not think she expects perfection from him. But I am sure she taught him to take responsibility for his actions, as he has done.

It is a shame Earl wasn't around longer for Tiger. I think in Tiger's mind...Earl's was the only other person on the planet who was bigger than he is. Tiger is extremely fortunate that his father somehow was able to spend so much time with him. Most fathers are exhausted working nine to five and have to squeeze in time now and then if they can. It is a tragedy that work and things can hurt the father son bond for many sons. And many teens were off with other teens while Tiger was having fun with his dad.

There was a press release from tiger when this came out. He said Nike and himself released it.

The spot was done before Earl died. All the photos and video were given to Nike from Tigers family. When Earl died Nike and Tiger talked it over and agreed to release it still. Tiger then gave a live interview press release the day before the spot was released to let everybody know he endorsed it.
