Hi Andrea,

I'm ambivalent about this issue because many people do get lung cancer & have never smoked. Or have in the past, but have stopped. I do feel frustrated that they will inflict this injury willingly upon themselves and we, taxpayers, have to pay for their short-sightedness.

Of course, with the new anti-smoking laws going into effect in July, this will put my concerns greatly to rest. I predict that we will see great reductions in cancer rates throughout England.

I totally agree with you on the adoption issue. It really peeves me to read sappy sob stories of how couples spend thousands of dollars and several years in order to have a biological offspring when they clearly have the means to adopt.
