Good music to reflect upon Existence... Gives you that outside-looking-in feeling.... When you begin to isolate every piece of your mind and the world around you, you suddenly realize the truth of things...
@North0house You know, as much as I agree with you, I have to say I think thats both the best and worst part of post rock. Its an amazing, dynamic, entrancing and ever-developing genre, but the community that comes with it sees all other music as crap because of it. A lot of people who call themselves post-rock enthusiasts are usually elitist music-nazis who refuse to give any credit to other types of sound.
@1curis Yeah, I totally agree. Sometimes I'll listen to bands lie GIAA and I'll read the comments, and everybody tries to sound so smart and such. Which, is truly a bummer, because we all know that we're just normal people haha. And honestly, post-rock is not all I listen to, it's just the basis for a lot of what I listen to. Basically, I mean mainstream stuff sounds like crap. The more underground stuff is all fantastic.
@Gustavobanana I said "almost every other form of music sounds like crap." not every form of music. I love metal, progressive, ambient, post-hardcore, math rock, jazz, minimalistic, classical, and avant-garde. Aside from those genres, there isn't much that's salvageable in my opinion.
i dont understand why more people dont see the beauty in a wall of sound pummeling you... So much excellent texture and harmonics. Its a really undervalued aspect in music as a whole i find.

You know, I've been listening to post-rock for a little over a year now.
And honestly, when I go back and listen to some of the bands I used to listen to, they can't even compare to the beauty of this expansive genre.
Basically, post-rock has made almost every other form of music sound like crap to me haha.
I love it.

What's with all the moronic keyword spamming in the description? Pathetic and illegal. Anyway, I have "La Cerva" on their split 7" with Constants.
