From 2008 to 2009 I think the world did pretty much revolve around Shawn. Can't blame her for milking it since its hard for a gymnast to stay relevant for a long. Media needed a story to boost their coverage and Shawn was one of the most marketable athletes, live in the moment as long as you can. Its reasonable for her teammates to dislike her, for every event she takes part in its one less for their lifelong Olympic dream.

At the end of the day, it really doesnt matter what your team mates think about you, cause your there to win that title! Nothing more. I should now...gymnastics&cheerleading since age 2.

She got an ankle injury before prelims and only competed bars in prelims; nothing in team finals.
