  • "I will never drink again"

Except Evel's vice is jumping motorbikes.

  • could have gone longer with suspension?? and a lighter bike..........

  • This is not "how it was broadcast on Wide World of Sports." What about the part when he was driving around in London talking to the people? This isn't even close to what I watched on TV that Saturday when this was originally broadcast on WWOS.

  • @BuckNekkid3000 I didn't include the whole thing, just the jump. I did include other parts of it , look at my videos to find it.

  • I was there, 26th May, my birthday. My stepfather Tony (RIP) took me, prime seat up behind where the camera was positioned. A fond & enduring memory. Thank you Tony =)))

  • I was there at Wembley stadium too ... and couldn't believe it ... He attempted to jump all those buses ... well he made it over the other side. We didn't know how babdly he was hurt because he got off the stretcher ... I was looking for myself in the crowd ... LOL I remember it ll played out on my right side ... thank you for posting this!

  • Some man..... Health and Safety would never allow anything like this now.

  • I was there also that day as an 11 year old boy....the sound of that Harley was absolutely deafening.....he changed bikes a couple of times prior to doing this jump....I still remember the noise of the bike as they tried to pull it off him and pulled it up to full revs....it was like some really scary monster.....prior to the jump he told the kids to avoid drugs...and being an innocent boy I thought he meant to avoid going to Boots etc....The Snake river jump was much more insane than this.

  • MrMidas I too was there, what a legend he was, hope the test works out for you.

  • The last of the Gladiators! A true Icon we miss you Evel !

  • i was at this jump at wembley, i was 7 at the time, and after seeing evel do this and inspiring me. im still on 2 wheels and had about half of the injuries that the LEGEND that evel is and will always be ... RESPECT

  • @egerton68 I was there aged 15 and i can still remember the tension. Taking my bike test this year, oh well better late than never

  • great video vtm, thanks for posting. you can really tell evel was in a lot of pain when he was adressing the crowd.

  • Balls and Heart

  • I would love to see the complete broadcast of the snake river canyon jump again.

  • The ABC Wide World of Sports broadcast of this jump (shown the following Saturday, on May 31st), included a telephone interview of Evel from his London hospital bed. Do you have that, and could you post it?

  • @swami1 I have over 100 tapes of Wide World of Sports shows that I have yet to transfer. If it's part of Wide World show . I do know I have video of Evel doing some kind of hockey bet thing with a Hockey player in 1975. I haven't transferred that yet but I will soon. That was before Wembley but after Snake River. I also have Evel when he was on some kind of Howard Cosell show in 1975 after his 14 bus jump . I think it was called Saturday Night with Howard Cosell or something like that.

  • One hell of a man. God Bless you Evel, you are missed!

  • Thank you for uploading the video if Henri LaMothe, it's brilliant! : )

  • Can you please post the video of the guy diving in the pool if you have it. My brother and dad were there and they too said it was amazing, thanks.

  • I was there too, & I'm with you, the guy diving into the pool was the real star that day!

  • Evel knew the bike didn't have enough travel and was waiting on a part from Harley Davidson. It didn't arrive on time and he didn't wanna let his fans down.........so he jumped.

  • I remember this watching it on World Of Sport on TV in the UK and there was joke about him that he missed the last bus !

  • I was there as well. I agree about the guy in the trunks diving into the paddling pool.

  • Evel was giving candid answers to a British female reporter when she blurted out "You Americans are all alike." Evel without missing a beat responded "Hey, if it wasn't for us Americans, I'd be jumping for the Germans." Such was the great Evel.

  • I was there...Wembley..1975..Brave..Man...RIP..Evel. 70's were great times...innocent times..sadly gone forever...........!

  • I was there thank you for posting it

  • I wonder why he never thought....."you know these bikes could do with a bit more travel".

  • I was there in 1975......and it was impressive to a 8 year old as i was then......but not as impressive as the fella in swimming trunks climbing up what looked like a really high ladder and diving into a kids paddling pool!!

  • @stitty125 Yeah, he was an older man . About 4 years later in was in the United States on That's Incredible. He was in his 70's when he performed with Evel . I will post the pool jump later.

  • @VIDEOTIMEMACHINE I think his name was Henri LaMoth and yes he was 71, amazing. Can you please post the pool jump video, many thanks.

  • @missnoseyp It's going up now

  • The last of the real tough guys. There will never be another one like him.

  • Pure Awesomeness

  • The jump was on Monday, 5/26/75(Memorial Day). It was shown on Wide World of Sports the following Saturday, 5/31/75.

    Thanks for posting it!

  • Talk about grit. Thanks for posting - keep it up! This is a great channel!
