  • Act of Valor made me a Snow Patrol fan...

  • For me, listening to the whole album front-to-back, it tells a story. A lot of it has to do with space, and relating to that in poetic analogies to love. From leaving Earth in a rocket, to landing back during daybreak, the whole album is much more than a destination either way; it's a journey.

  • nice!!!!!!!!

  • nice!!!!!!

  • 2:52-3:42 replay over and over again

  • Every song of SP is lovely and amazing =)

  • where do they come up with lyrics and melodies such as these?! they're amazing!

  • Absaloutly amazing a dont think they have one bad song!

  • they are perfect. my fav's

  • This has to the most beautiful melody ever. I have gotten through so many days because of this song. He has a really good voice. Thank god for this song!

  • obviously they aren't since you've written this

  • Just listen to it and.. DREAM.

  • Snow Patrol aren't just a band, a group of artists.

    they are poets.

every lyric is a poem, which is then transferred to tune.

who could ask for more? <3

  • You're so right.

  • wow i never knew their a group of a artist and every lyrics is a poem thats kool im gonna continue to listen to their songs i never really listen to them that much but im gonna give it a try

  • Saw them at Glasgow SECC the other night and quite enjoyed it. They played these 3 songs as the encore which I though was the best part of the show. Really reminded me of the Flaming Lips.

  • You honestly think these songs don't connect, Frost? Have you actually listened to the lyrics? At all?

  • I feel like this makes is symbolic. It represents more than just a simple song. It takes place in phases and I personally like that. It keeps people from becoming bored too.

  • Reminds me of Running - Moby

    Gorgeous though...

  • Just go out and buy the album. Doesn't take much effort.

  • I know that... but I'm lazy.

  • Could always order it from amazon or similar seller and have it delivered.

  • @SathonPM It does take money though.

  • @theultimatekoopa2 If you loved Snow Patrol, you'd appreciate them enough to pay them for the work they do.

Yeah ... that was probably before I actually got an iTunes account. Since then though, I've rarely downloaded songs for free, unless they're not on iTunes.

  • @piggy501 some of us may love there music but cant afford to buy songs(id rather get the music free then not listen to them at all right?)

  • @xxxPaigeyD93xxx Thats a good point. The one time I downloaded for free, I made sure to buy it properly once I'd got the money. I felt really bad robbing my heroes.

  • reminds me of eternal sunshine.

  • ME TOOOOO

  • hey, does anyone at all know where i can download, im happy to pay, doesnt have to be free, but free is always best ;), the lightning strike? all three parts preferably, but even just one part, i cant get it anywhere without buying the whole album with it. i love this band and this song is amazing, musically and lyrically, so, please help? thanks

  • Try Limewire?

  • oh this ius truely there greatest album to date, sets aside all pop themes in previous albums, they have a new sound, it's unique and brillant!I feel like they have a new msic identity, similar to coldplay's uniquness. My fav song of the album is probably either "if there is a rocket tie me to it" or "daybreak" but i have deep love for "crack the shutters open", it's such an unconveintional love song and "engines"..oh and isatser button is so energetic....there all mint! what an album!

  • I dunno - so much of it feels "stadium alt rock" - the album's fairly mundane but you stumble across the last track (well, the three movements) and suddenly there's a stunning track that just doesn't seem to belong there, like something they suddenly got right, and snuck under someone's radar.

  • Prefered Final Straw, but the latest one does have a few gems on it.

  • Anyone else having the same experience as me? At first when I heard Lightning Strike, I only loved one of the three parts, and didn't think much of the others. After a day of listening, I discovered I loved two of them, but still didn't really go for the third. And now I've found I love them all equally.

Brilliant song off a brilliant album.

  • ok, for some unexplicable reason I'm off to cry somewhere, and that's unusual. *.* It's just too lovely.

  • Amazing song. Hands down, my favorite on the album. Love it.

'Stop waving your arms your safe and dry.'

    These lyrics are superb.

  • This is my favorite too. Exquisite song.
