  • being 19 and listening to this...makes my friends say im gay....i say naayyy to that and flip them off!!!!

  • ...STIG brought me here =O!!

  • PC channeling Kurt Russell. This song does wistful in a big way.

  • A great, great song with probably the best all round Rock singer the UK has produced delivering the vocals.

  • LOL My mom thought Hall and Oates sang this.

  • Paul Carrack is one of the all-time best! Been around FOREVER!

  • Dislike?! The only reason to dislike this video is that it is too short... Come on people.

  • responding to everyone another great song is the rory gallagher I fall to pieces. There is a very rare version recorded for French T.V on you tube, I could almost feel the vibe. What is blue eyed soul?

  • WOW!!! I just realized (and after ALL these years of loving this song) that Paul Carrack was signing lead and a member of the group? DAMN...I'm own personal epic fail hahaha!!. Still digging on this song many years later! No wonder I love the song Living Years as well *smile*

  • Great

  • what a jammm.

  • Laid back AND smokin'... a perfect blue-eyed soul tune. I have very fond memories of this song on the radio back in high school. Paul Carrack's vocal is one that many, many modern singers would do well to try and emulate. And the line "I ain't quite as dumb as I seem" still kills me.

  • One of the acts that lead to Easy-Listening stations all over the nation. Moreover, was this tune based on the fact that one of the musicians was playing for a rival band? Please tell me.

  • How many groups these days would put up a great live performance like this - no lip-synching!

  • @CGT867 Actually rather many please seek for Jools Holland Show. But the TV people should be given a kick up to .....s to give the bands a chance to play live instead of rolling those videos.

  • 2nd grade, 1975, Phila. PA. God, I still love this song and remember its groove on FM radio......

  • 2nd grade, 1975, Phila. PA. God, I still love this song and remember its groove on FM radio......

  • Cool post,nice one...

  • This is back when Music had it's Easy Listening Rock Stars....Those you could understand and although many were covered with hair...you could still see they put their heart into it and know where the song was going.

  • I played this simple and great song in my band back in the 1970's. Still a nice song!

  • Oooh Man!!!!!this is one of my all time favorite classic songs. I'm 55 and I still Love this

It goes all the way back to my early teens. This is one you turn your kids on to.

  • great song!

  • Ace hit #3 in Billboard, 5-31-75. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • This was back when having talent was required. Unlike today......what a shame.

  • Maybe my favorite single of the whole decade.

  • This song brings back my great memories from the spring and early summer of 1975, here in New York City , as I was just about to graduate from high school. This great song got heavy radio air play at that time ! This is one of my favorite all time songs ! Ace was a great group and should have had many more super hit songs !!

  • man there coked up

  • @damphear2 WTF? How can you detect that? I surely dont think so. yer just a dickhead!

  • I hate it when they leave the counter on when recording a video.

  • @patrick9648 crybaby....

  • Musica Real.... Para tiempos reales.....sera que vivimos en un presente ficticio, con musica ficticia?...

  • Sounds out of tune really bad. I guess I just don't get the real talent thing. I like the recorded version 100% better.

  • 2 follks don't wanna know how long it's been goin' on. Finally, a LIVE version of it! God bless ya, for postin' it!

  • Classic

  • Even though my tastes are more along Susperia and Slayer, this is a great song! Brings back memories!

The sign of a truly good song is when you remember where you were and what you were doing, the first time you either heard it or remember hearing it...

  • Love it. A nice version too. Thanks very much for posting this clip.

  • My God, Paul Carrack really does it for me on this video; gorgeous eyes and voice. When he sings the second "how long" at 15:03 it feels as though a finger is being trailed down my spine. Wow. BTW, spot the bod wandering around at 15:28-15:33 and Phil Harris peering round at him!

  • sound quality on live versions should ALWAYS be this good... thanks for finding and sharing it

  • My idea of the perfect live session; real musicians with pure talent. Wonderful!

  • @MaidofKent1965 Tell me about it. Im a talent scout and you just dont find talent like this anymore.

  • TAKES ONLY ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE THIS SONG---AWESOME !

  • I LOVE this song! Music, voice harmonies, vocals - it's got it all!

  • If many people listened to this !!! LOL

  • A great song. Thumb up.

  • Lovely, bluesy voice. Truly a Legend coming for the pop music's ultmate journeyman.

    Thanks for posting.

  • wow live!

  • he's eyes are amazing!!!

when he looke to the front..

    wow!!!!

  • Nice!! Great to see a Drummer not over-playing!!! Thanks for Posting!

  • timeless music.........

  • Vintage Paul Carrak! LOVE it!

  • Great stuff!

  • A time when we had REAL music!!!

  • No sound affects or auto tune, just pure talent and real musicians. COOL POST!!!!!!!!

  • @chadcris28

actually Paul's fighting with the delay at around16:36, sound guy's probably busy with something 70s-like.. heheh! and there are effects all over this recording. but you're right—just the basics, no auto-tune, no lip syncing, no loops... just a straight ahead great performance. I love how the director is trying desperately to locate the guy who's playing the guitar solo... is it the other guitar player? no. is it the drummer? no. is it the actual guitar player? no. is it the bass?

  • exelente cancion....... chingon!!!!!!!

  • A time when we had REAL music!!!

  • @hardlines4 It sure isn't like the crap they have today that they call music. I hardly listen to the radio anymore, unless it's an oldies station or talk radio...lol... All I can say is that it's pretty pathetic of today when someone needs computer software to help them sing. Unlike the ACE, in the video here, That is REAL talent, NOT what they call talent today because as far as i seen, there's not much out there. Just the ones with hardly or NO talent get the money and fame.

  • @hardlines4 ...and rock and roll songs in the Top 40. Plus, when's the last time you saw so much fog in a video? ;-)

  • Just saw Ace yesterday at the City of Ontario's 4th of July celebration at Westwind park. They were also here a couple of years ago for our 4th of July celebration. A wonderful band who play a variety of hits from the 60's and 70's.

  • Always loved this song, many thanx:)
