@beeceebee1 I wouldn't go that far there are some events between religious books that would leave me to believe that some of these events happened. ( ie. great flood) During the dark ages the only people who could read were the clergy so how much of the bible was altered? I think the correlations between multiple religious books should be analyzed and look at for factual content. but the rest i think the church is the best tax fraud in a few thousand years...

I have no problem with two people of the same sex getting married, but it should not be something that is passed by a law. It should be up to the couple's church or religious affiliation. There is no law in this country that states a man and a woman can get married so why do we need more laws? Any company that is worth working for already covers insurance for people cohabitating whether they are opposite or same sex...No law is needed for this union...just someone who is willng to perform it.

I believe people can love whomever they want to love, I had neighbours who lived together, I don't know if they were married or not, good people though. I just like to keep marriage out of it. Awesome story. Never been an Avery fan myself but this has really changed my opinion of him. He might be a pain in the ass on the ice but at least he has the guts to back equal rights - something you rarely see from pro athletes. Way to be Sean!
I'm no fan of Sean Avery--his rep for being a douchebag on the ice is well-earned--but I do appreciate him being the rare professional athlete to come out (no pun intended) in favor of marriage equality. A stopped clock is right twice a day.

Bis like both genders, so they must be allowed to "marry" each. From there you must extend Equal Protection to polygamists who love more than one of the opposite sex. If you can have two, then you can have two-hundred. Also if marriage is not defined by ability to procreate, then marriage must apply to incestuous couples as well.

@beeceebee1 I wouldn't go that far there are some events between religious books that would leave me to believe that some of these events happened. ( ie. great flood) During the dark ages the only people who could read were the clergy so how much of the bible was altered? I think the correlations between multiple religious books should be analyzed and look at for factual content. but the rest i think the church is the best tax fraud in a few thousand years...

I have no problem with two people of the same sex getting married, but it should not be something that is passed by a law. It should be up to the couple's church or religious affiliation. There is no law in this country that states a man and a woman can get married so why do we need more laws? Any company that is worth working for already covers insurance for people cohabitating whether they are opposite or same sex...No law is needed for this union...just someone who is willng to perform it.

@nottatuber Slippery Slope Fact. If we must redefine marriage to fit the sexual preference of homosexuals, then we must do so for bisexuals under Equal Protection. Bis like both genders, so they must be allowed to "marry" each. From there you must extend Equal Protection to polygamists who love more than one of the opposite sex. If you can have two, then you can have two-hundred. Also if marriage is not defined by ability to procreate, then marriage must apply to incestuous couples as well.
