I think it's AWFUL that you portray yourself as a caring company and for what you are trying to do to your workers, cut benifits, shift health care costs,,, while giving the exec.'s millions
As a financially healthy company, AT&T has a responsibility to step up and be a leader in the economic recovery. Lower wages and worse benefits aren't going to get us out of this recession. Protecting good, middle-class jobs that offer stability for entire communities is what AT&T can and should do. If AT&T isn't willing to step up, union workers and retirees will happy to show them how.
Prosperous corporations flourish because of the employees who build them. Companies like AT&T need to realize the simple saying, "happy employees means happy customers, and everyone prospers." The working class of America will not be fooled by "rah, rah!" flashy "look over here, look over here!" campaigns like this one...
Like all successful companies, you can thank your loyal employees for the devotion and sacrifice they have shown. Don't blame them for the economic situation we all face. I think most Americans would agree that it was corporate greed and out of touch executive sompensation that brought about today's financial crisis. 90% of the benefits goes to the top 10%, not the other way around. Your employees made you successful, show a little appreciation and give credit where credit is due.
Another greedy corporation trying to put something over on the public. These guys made $12.9 billion last year and paid $33 million in exec bonuses. They own 15 jets (!) and they want to strip health care from their retirees?? PUH-leez! There are lots of companies offering broadband, telepone, and video. I stay with ATT because it's union. But this labor dispute is quickly changing my mind. Shape up, AT&T!
AT&T is a stellar company. Why you will not negotiate a new contract in good faith for your employees is a mystery to me. A company of your strength should be doing all it can to maintain a middle class in this country, not trying to catch a ride to the bottom like Wal-Mart has done with workers. Stand beside your workers, AT&T. The world will admire you because of it. Please do the right thing...settle the contract with the 150,000 CWA members working at AT&T.
AT&T need to settle the contract with their workforce. This is a profitable company and needs to act like one by sharing with their workforce and avoiding corporate greed.
UP TURN for who? Your shareholders maybe. Who will buy your services when your are screwing the American work force. AT&T execs are clueless. How is laying off thousands, raising shareholder dividends, cutting health care for employees, increasing executive bonuses, and trying to end retiree benefits for future employees. How is that investing in America? Oh thats right, you continue to screw Main Street in order to help Wall Street.
The part of America that AT&T is investing in doesn't seem to contain any of AT&T's American workers. AT&T made $13billion in profits last year, and they want to cut healthcare for their employees and end retiree benefits. Way to embrace hypocrisy, AT&T!!
Since we are counting on an upturn and the downturn hasn't really hurt at&t very badly why would they try to burn the good jobs/workers that they have now? How can a company that profited 13 BILLINON last year be asking workers in hard times to sacrifice when the company is in GOOD shape-better than ever perhaps-Shame on you at&t-if you want to be the "all American" company-ACT LIKE ONE! Take the high road and show the rest of corporate America what the BEST can really look like!
I only like this commercial for the music it plays XD. But it's probably one of those commercial songs...

ATT=hypocritical. Settle your contract with your employees! This is propoganda. AT&T needs to get serious abd respect its own employees.
