You know, that's actually a good pattern to help open up a large square in the body. The little flaps can move back, plenty of room to get around, then you just sew everything up.

@daegoman42 it was also used in scandinavia , known as the sun cross.
so the swastika has religious beliefs attached to it for at least a 1000 years. it is also considered a lucky charm to hindus.
