  • The JPJ solo is definately inspired by victorian harpsichord era.

  • BEST SUPERGROUP THERE IS AND EVER WILL BE! <3

  • DAVE GROHL! FUCK YEAAH !

  • the madness starts at 7:40

  • Brb... need to change my pants

  • For all you kids out there, take notice of the legends of this generations rock.

  • ufffffffff

  • This is one of those songs that bands write and don't think anything about it until they play it live and it leaves everybody in one of those "Damn... that was my life..." moods. This is one of the greatest pieces of music I've ever heard.

  • Dave Grohl has far too much fucking stamina

  • Those last chords and then that last, completely hanging note, no cadance, the look when he stands up... unbelievable.

  • To be honest I wonder how Josh can go home from TCV to QOTSA and have Joey Castillo drumming for him after having Thor's Thunderbolt Grohl behind him... Castillo is good, don't get me wrong, but he's no Grohl!

  • @EccentricRichard castillo is a great drummer.... hes just not dave grohl. i think the only rock drummer who has ever been better is bonzo

  • This song is arguably Dave Grohl's greatest as a drummer - not even on QOTSA's Songs for the Deaf album did his kit sound so busy so much of the time. Dave clearly isn't ready to sit back and soak up the fame and money, so he keeps challenging himself. Definitely bodes well for the Probot II album he's threatening to make with Chuck Billy and others... oh, and JPJ is a living legend!

  • drums at 2:25 sound absolutely insane, then the wall of sound hits you.

  • goddammit dave grohl's rim shots are better than my playing

  • these guys are incredible...

  • John Paul Jones - 65 years old and he can still rock HAAAAARD

  • On a Totally random point, I Think this song would have made a great bond Theme, try playing this along to the opennig of qauntum of solace starting after the jam! Mind blowing

  • Fail, as big as a whale!

  • the beginning is my jam whenever I crawl out of a sewer and quietly wreack havoc.

  • From a planet unknown... Dave Grohl

  • BAD ASS!!!!

  • This video is the Rock and Roll landmark of the 21st century ! :| ♥

  • this masterpiece leaves me speechless. So beautiful.

  • John Paul Jones IS rock

  • sounds almost like harpsicord

  • Maybe this is why Dave is the nicest man in rock cos he gets all his anger out on stage.

He gives it everything whether he is playing drums, guitar or singing he leaves it all on stage and by the end looks like he has nothing more to give.

  • this is fuckin excellent

  • interesting

  • 2 people shud really be taken out and shot because they dont understand musical genious

  • 8:11 sick fill there dave

  • John Paul Jones <3

  • the BEST performance of this song was at the fuji festival but it was taken down from youtube

  • @videospaz10 you must admit that this is a great performance as well!

  • @videospaz10 I agree with you 100%, That version of the song was scary. I have been looking for it but can not find it anywhere. God i wish i ripped it from here.

  • @jumpbox3

    /watch?v=OMFTSmnQT7A

    here it is ;)

  • @Pierre2631 Thank you so much, been looking for that version for a while!

  • ok so quick poll: qotsa or tcv?

  • @QMDExperiece qotsa is tcv. tcv is qotsa. yes qotsa released that album.. which one was it? era vulturaris or something awful like that. if you ask me, the follow up album to lullabies to paralyze is the selftitled tcv :)

  • @robbantheshit saying TCV is the same thing as QOTSA implies John Paul Jones doesn't add anything to the sound of TCV that QOTSA doesn't already have. I don't think anyone can honestly believe that JPJ doesn't contribute to TCV's sound after watching this video... that's just absurd.

  • @robbantheshit we dont ask you . Listen closer

  • this isnt reptiles -.-

  • 2 people are totally fucking shit. This is an AMAZING performance.

  • MODERN DAY MASTERPIECE

  • JPJ is so futuristic!

  • You know what might actually be really interesting? Them Crooked Vultures with Grohl doing guitar/vocals and Homme doing drums. This current setup is definitely the best for their respective talents, but it would be really interesting to see what these three masters could come up with in that setup.

  • @mitchki That would be... atrocious.

  • @mitchki

That would be interesting and maybe even a little more Alain Johannes as well.

  • @mitchki I was thinking about this too, they could just switch round for a couple of songs.

  • just wow

  • such a great intro never seen this video before thanks!!! i have seen them twice and it was never this good!

  • He's God

  • That was downright fucking beautiful.

  • Best. Trip. Ever.

  • No Scumbag Blues Roskilde 2010????

  • I think the vocal effect was fucking cool.

  • I think the voice effect sounded like Jabba, from star wars, and i think it's pretty awesome...

  • jesus christ!

  • FAIL! they wrote Reptiles instead of spinning in the daffodils

  • @BlueOnionGroup When spinning in the daffodils stared they wrote "spinning in the daffodils". That was later in the video, so if you only listened to the "video" you wouldn't notice.

  • I love these Crooked Vultures Roskilde videos. is there more?

  • It would be the greatest honor to open for this band. i would kill for the opportunity

  • They had to know that voice effect was retarded. This is the only vid I've seen with it.

  • That's the first time I've EVER seen J. Ho use a an obvious vocal processor on stage. I think it's cheesy sounding myself. I'd rather hear Alain or Dave do the backup. I'm a huge fan, but that's just wrong!

  • @peachmelba1000 They used it for one verse, i think they realised mid song :P

  • @peachmelba1000 did you ever hear the album???

  • voice effect?

  • Holy shit, the first verse. The effect on his voice had me questioning my sanity. Fucking AWESOME.

  • 8:29 Josh was like "Shit! Nice fill".

  • Wow just wow

  • FAIL! They wrote Reptiles instead of daffodils

  • I cannot killed by anything.

  • "From a planet unknown... Jon Paul Jones"

    --Joshua Homme

    =D

  • @NOSFERATUalu Dude, they are both epic indeed. But it's John not Jon.

  • they did the same/similar jam at the beginning at Rock Am Ring 2010 I think.

  • lol at 11:14 the people in the front rowing bowing to JPJ. Amazing performance!

  • You can tell josh was loving every second of this.

  • so psychedelic
