  • This jam has that winter time feel to it.

  • listening to this song high made me realized what jay-z's music really was. He became a brand, like addidas, for music. It was mainstream and often materialistic, but it was celebratory. That plus the fact that he did it with skilled wordplay/flow and over vastly superior beats (at the time) made jay-z a legend in hip hop, and even music in general. I don't agree with his ego and some things he's been doing recently, but i can't help but respect him now.

  • all I need is 1 mic

  • Jay-z is the only kat that continuously reinvents himself successfully.. How many others can say that? 10 years plus baby!!

  • @oldjaghead Jay be doin this for 20 plus years brah since the originator and Hawaiian sophie wit jaz-o when he used to spit hella fast

  • Jay is definitely an Official ass rapper, but I'm sorry he ain't fuckin wit none of It Was Written by NAS. Get Jay's nuts out ya hands baby. Jay-Z= #2- Jay-Z swagger is untouchable though

  • @Mainlinejay I think that he just got older. LOL. He isn't the same person nor, is he doing the same stuff he was back then so, as he grew as a person and man, his lyrics had to change. I respect the dude for not rappin' about the stuff that he isn't doing anymore but....man.....this shit here is FIRE!

  • @HipPopFan4Life your talking shit, stillmatic is sick

do the knowledge, 'Your Da Man' '2nd Childhood' 'Every Ghetto' 'Rewind' 'Destroy and Rebuild' 'Stillmatic Intro'

You sounding like a jay cocksucker

Blueprint was good but hola hovito and jigga that nigga are weak tracks, pretty shit to be honest

It Was Written>Vol 1 Vol 2 Vol 3 Dynasty Blueprint Black Album AG

Oh well, not even Nas's debut is better than all of jay's albums bar RD

  • @BlueMagicVaults you crazy hola hovito was dope jigga that nigga could've been left off but blueprint is better than stillmatic and ag is just as good as it was written theyre both the greatest though

  • @BlueMagicVaults Your sounding like a Nas cocksucker. . All those albums were better than it was written. Stillmatic was wack. I guess you just have wack taste. Cant debate with people with wack eardrums. Blueprint was wayy better than any nas album.

  • @thamaineone I think (IMO(and many others)) that Jay-z is the better rapper overall. BUT, illmatic is one of the best albums ever. Nas wins in that aspect but Jay-z obviously has more good albums.

  • This is when Jigga was at his best.

  • 3 people must need alot.

  • This is my favorite song by Jay-Z! His verses are hot, but I'm more listening to the beat when I listen to this song. Man, I have always loved this beat!

  • Jiggy my niggies..lol

  • Who produced this? anyone know?

  • @TorrMup Bink

  • @TorrMup a producer named Bink

  • G.O.A.T

  • It's crazy how a lot of comments I see on Jays videos are from the past. "I used to..." Man I still do. But its crazy how the hiphop gen is slowly getting moved underground.

  • @11CarpeDiem U AINT NEVER LIED I DONT EVEN LISTEN TO THE RADIO ANYMORE GOT 90'S HIP HOP ON HEAVY ROTATION

  • sounds like something flea would play on the bass

  • hottest fukin song eva

  • classic shit

  • Any negative comments on this song means you lame....please you dont want your feelins hurt. So if you dont have anything positive to say bout Jay...dont listen to him. Lmfao nobody holdin gun to head.

  • THIS CLASSIC FOR REAL NIGGA FUCC ALL HATERS

  • JAY-Z all you need is a new career because as far as rap goes and hip-hop. your not it you suck and Nas ended the beef with one song.

  • I used to listen to this song all fuckin day man

  • @macwit2cs me to bro 2001 was a good year for hip hop. blueprint and stillmatic had that year on lock.

  • @nassauE easily one of the best years in hip hop history, imo the last "golden" year of hip hop its been downhill really ever since

  • @nassauE im going to have to disagree with you on one thing, i would have to extend that by two years. i think 2003 was the last year rap was good because scarface the fix came out in 02 and get rich or die trying and the black album came out in 03. but i feel you it has gone down hill since 01. peace king!!

  • @macwit2cs I still do..

  • Gay rapper stealing a line. Then stealing a song. Watch that.

  • @cjewelz Not much rappers steal lines. But every rapper Steals song...its called sampling evryone does it Like 2pac, Biggie, Nas, Immortal Technique, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, you name it!

  • Gotta say, that man Bink has one of the greatest ears in life! The fact that he was able to craft this beat from that small portion of Natalie Cole's song, and then all the other things he added to it to complete it, that just goes beyond words! This is still one of the best beats in hip hop, and it just amazes me that he was able to create it! How did he hear it, what made him come up with it? That goes far beyond amazing to me:)

  • @jarbon5 Bink's music production guide to millions = hamburger (layers of goodness) - you got the beef (sample/melody), lettuce (drums), tomato (synth), condiments (snare)

  • @wick3dest Sounds like all the right ingrediants for the perfect beat, but then you also have to have a good ear too, which I guess would be the bread to this hamburger:)

  • 1 word,,,,,,, classic!

  • thank man no promo bullshit in the begin like all the others i clicked

  • @gwapclick man i was thinkin the same shit....like where is the real damn song at

  • @DOEBOYTHEOFFICIAL1 soon you'll understand..

  • thats natalie cole in background.
