lemme guess, when you hit him, he uses Minoalin 3000 to heal him and the soldiers by 300 HPs meanwhile the soldiers are beating you up. it's annoyin' the same thing happened to me.

Not too many people can appericate this game as I have but I am glad there are others too. I really enjoyed it and it was one of the most challenging RPGs I have ever played (games in general as well).

This battle with Eugene was the hardest I have done in any game it took ridiculous amounts of tries and luck to win. I am saddened that the GC version nerfed him so heavily and took out much content from the first game... Ty man!

I love it. It been awhile since i got into and RPG since FF7 and well i have alot of RGPs but this is in my top 15. They dont drag the story they get to it but plenty of time to level up and mess around if you want to.Good n funny story line. Sound is good. Good Dreamcast graphics battle system is abit ( I dont want to say basic) advance But a similar feel. Id say definitey Buy. Id try ebay you can get the dreamcast ver. for like 5 to 12 bucks.

i beat this boss for dc within 7 minutes with pepper, chain,and mag, was awsome, then i beat final level with flamethrower that pepper gets.

the DC version of eugene is harder than the GC version. he's like lvl 20 with around 7000 hp on the GC version, while on the DC version hes like around lvl 60 with 74000 hp and he heals himself often.

Yeah, funny you mention that. In my previous attempts to beat him, that was a big thing. He'd keep doing Noalin 3000. I was very lucky in this video.

Use Mag,Gre and Pepper, Be Lv.50+

Have Gre Use Boost on Mag twice,Then Have Mag use Magna Rave and Pepper Use Super Beam or

Noalin+ Blast if you need healing, Noalin+ Gold/Royal Helps too ^_^ Gre Should Also use

Store Up Alot(Cuz it can be dangerous if you use the higher ones if Peeper comes after Gre)

also have Him Use Rouse on Mag and Boost on Pepper once(Just to shape things up), Keep this up and you should win, Good Luck

This game is so under rated and gets a bit too much hate. You can't compare it to games like grandia or Skies of Arcadia because they aren't dungeon crawlers. It is great for what it is, which is a dungeon crawler. One of the Best at that.

for those who do not know, this is also the 5th boss in evolution worlds for gamecube and he has lvl 20, and 7000 hp! the form before is slightly harder because it has 6000 health and high attack power (if let he can kill in 1 hit no matter what level!) so you wana deal damage fast and try to defend well. keep hp high and watch the special blade attack, when he mech then you have a much easier job, watch health and just be prepared for some damage.

my characters are insanely powerful cause they are all on level 99 lol.

tip how 2 defeat eugene

1.) not to master the skill for pepper flash so that u can use it twice

2.) use straw doll and santa maria accessory if u have them

3.) use cosmo fruit 2 heal everyone, ESPECIALLY works for pepper since she needs the SP for pepper flash.

thatll finish eugene off 4 GOOD!! wont even take 5 min

Basically, what you do is:

1.) Zap Baby Zap

2.) Obviously, Pepper Flash

3.) Gre makes Mag go first again

4.) Zap Baby Zap

5.) Pepper Flash

6.) Repeat

If Eugene is resisting your zaps, it means your Lightning Parts isn't a high enough LVL or you just got really unlucky. As you did with Restoration, you must Full Power with Gre on Mag's Lightning Parts. Pack up on Green Moss, obviously for Pepper. Oh, and take out all of Linear's equipment and store, sell, or use it. :P

Story wise Eugene is the last boss. After you beat him you can now go to the last dungon and after you beat that one you can go to any one you want... I think.

I didn't like the gamecube version (which I also own). Sure, the graphics are better because it uses Evolution 2's (dreamcast) graphics, but they totally dumbed down the difficulty and the english voiceacting was horrid (WAM-BAM!, dat's not cool).
