thats what i say a good teamwork, these players have worked and played this kinda techniques in every training. so ofcourse they get a sense or a feel from each other once someone is running right behind them. in addition, the footstep's sound once it hit the ground for several times might also help the other teammate to realize that someone is comin to help the team out or atleast give him a support in a very tight situations.

After Grosso's goal Germany was all over but Italy sealed it on a classic counterattack. But it was not Del Piero's cool finish what I most remember, but Cannavaro's warrior instinct at the start of the play. The way he sprinted and recovered the ball when Germany was pressuring the most, got burned in my memory forever. One of those great plays defenders make but that no one talks about. I'm glad the clip shows it as part of the second goal.
