Being From Detroit And Learning JB In Detroit I Had To Learn To Skate To The Radio Music, I Didnt Find Out About JB Music Till About Hmmm 2 Years Ago And I Dont Listen TO ANYTHING ELSE BEFORE I HEAD TO THE RINK. All In All Even Though I Dont Like Skating To Anything But JB I Am Use To Skating Without It And I Do What I Have To Do To Get My Practice In.
I'm old school and JB style has been around since the 70s. I use to skate a Savoy (103rd, off Michigan) and Markam when it first opened (Midnight Ramble!) Hold it down Chi-Town.

Yes, this is me, however, if you think what I'm doing is tight, thanks, but that is nothing compared to what you can see if you were to go to "The Rink" on 87th in Chicago, Illinois during a Sunday Session from 930pm to 1am. You'll see things done on skates you wouldn't believe! "Roll Bounce" and "ATL" WISH they had something on JB Style!

well its kind of up to you whether you want a combat or regular skate or a high boot
Combat - look online for what style you want army supply store
regular skate - dominon to start off with and then you could use a reidell 121 but you will have to break it in really good
high boot - reidell 172
plate
metal - sure grip classic but its heavy
plastic - marathon v or pacer resister or sure grip probe
wheels - Powell Bones Elite thats ALL i skate on ...
Bearings - China Reds or Swiss
