Probably only slightly but its better to auto like this than makeing a cunt of it and driving the main mast down through the arse of the helicopter with the blades choping the tail off with a boom strike.
generally no... if the helicopter is expecting to do things like this they have whats called skid shoes which is are stronger metal sheets attached to the underside of the skids themselves.
No, The skids have removable/ Replaceable skid pads. A run-on landing will only damage the skids if these pads aren't replaced in general maintainance.

Normaly you do it, when you are in a high flightlevel, or when it's pretty hot.

This is a bad example of a running landing. A fairly normal maneuver if performed properly.
