This chick is so crazy i love her. I cant explain it, but the more i watch her videos the more i want to marry her. Call me crazy (Crazy!). @madsketcher I guess so, I got a this song on a bootleg, but this version is much better. But i think she only did one concert with Gling Gló or maybe it was very few concerts cause one of the bandmembers died from cancer quite suddendly. Björk would not preform the Gling Gló album after that.....

Who is attracted to someone and considers them to look laughable? This really bothers me! Honestly. I've always wondered about it. Anyway this raw version is splendid. I love it.

Obviously we all have our flaws, and personality is all that really matters, but to comment that someone's looks appear laughable feels a bit demeaning; as if they are giving on one hand, but taking away on the other. However, the general sentiment and emotion of the song is mind blowing, especially when performed as powerfully as Bjork.
@123jsbach hahaha one of my friend has! But his personality and the chemistry overcame that. The song is just saying that although you're able to pick every single flaw in the other person, you're still able to accept them for who they are. It's like Shakespeare's" My Mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun"- you don't aim for perfection because no human is perfect.
@squishmeify I understand that chemistry exists despite any unconventional appearance, but stating that someone looks are laughable is not an appreciation of difference; it is an insult. To me, the line you quote is poetic and justified in its sentiment. Love, love the song, but I remain unconvinced with this line!

However I won't try to convince you otherwise about the "laughable looks" as I agree...I'd never date anyone who I thought their looks are laughable... and never have I considered someone looks laughable either. Just, I know of people who considered that and I can see what message the song writer was trying to convey. Anyhow, you should check out ella fitzgerald's version.. nothing beats her.
