are you still shooting a carver ? have you made any changes ? i found that shooting 9 major that the 3 port comp just wasnt keeping the dot where I wanted it I have Bobby Carvers 4 port comp coming in tuesday and my 11.lb im going try a 13 and 15 pound recoil spring and see what kind of results I get ...
I have almost the same setup. I have a carver mount and c-more sights like you as well as a 10 port comp from carver. I have a ccf slide and I have lowered the ejector port as well as changed the lsb spring (stronger one) and used an non-lci extractor. I am still getting stove pipes... I am about to give up on this setup... I am using 8.1 grs of hs-6 sitting on a 125gr jhp hornady (cone one) with 1.11 oal. I don't know hwat else to do... : (
What is reload recipe for making the 165PF in your open division? I will also be using a g17 racegun very similar to your set up. Please let me know. Thank you.
Would it be a lot more faster if you engages the steel first and starting with a long stick then engage the last four paper? just asking as i do not know the COF. Thank you.... Great run by the way!!!
@690sm it was faster to engage the paper and leave the steel for last it was 18 pieces of steel. when you engage steel you might or might not knock them down. not knocking down steel can be frustrating and throw you off of the rest of the stage. i started with a large mag of 27 then after all of the paper was done i reloaded another 27 rd mag to engage the steel fresh mag= fresh start on the steel.
@690sm we also had to leave our mags on the blue barrels so i had to place my mag strategically on the course to accomodate the way i shot the course.
7.62x54r, I think you are thinking Mauser. I need to wait a bit before I buy the scope mount (We just paid a shit ton for all three of our cars). Maybe sometime we could go shooting like way back in the day.
ahh yes i agree i was thinking mauser wow im too used to all of this new shit coming out and i forget about the good ol wood and steel yea dude that would be fun
well since everyone wants to know here it is... its a glock 17 OD green, lone wolf slide with a lowered ejection port just above where the serial numbers would be on a regular glock, kkm match barrel ,with a bill carver custom compensator, non captured guide rod with a 12 lb spring. bill carver mount with 6 moa cmore, dawson ice magwell, ghost rocket 3.5# trigger disconnector , ill do a vid on it in more detail in the near future. i shoot A class for now.
yes its a slide racker made by a company called SJC it replaces the rear sight notch on the back of the slide and sets itself in place with an allen screw
