Funny. I love your thinking. I invite you visit my blog. I share many of the teaching strategies that I use in my class that are out-of-the-box such as shopping for the author's purpose, experience boxes, etc.
This is an interesting approach -- the camera is wobbly, but some of my ESOL students have been imitating the speaker's voice, emphasizing the way he does. A useful video.
Don't read this cause it actually works. You will get kissed on the nearest possible Friday by the love if you life. However if you don't post this comment to at least 3 videos u will die within 2 days. Now you started reading don't stop. This is so scary. Put this on at least 5 videos in 143 minutes when your done press f6 and your lovers name will appear in big letters. This is so scary .
What is WRONG with the teacher? I'd slap the shit outta any man that talked to me like that. His tone is so PATRONIZING and disrespectful. If he was talking to a puppy or something, it'd be fine. But no human should be spoken to in such an obnoxious fake-happy way. gag!
My 15YO son’s teacher is SO unprofessional- she constantly uses the fact that I have appeared in adult films as a stick to beat him.
The other day she told him- in front of the whole class- “Perhaps you think this class is like your Father’s scene on YouPorn, where you’re kept behind in detention but end up naked with the fake-breasted teacher on her desk! Please keep your disgusting sexual fantasies to yourself!”
I am not ashamed of my past & am complaining to the board of governors.
Thank you very much! I was thinking of singing the sea shante "What do you do with a drunken sailor." with my US History Students but I don't want to use the word drunken. Now after watching your video I am thinking out of the box and will take out drunken with the word sleepy. So we will sing "What do you do with a sleepy sailor." that will be G rated. ha!
I could never stand it when my teachers say,"Oh, Good." To every little dinky thing we ever did. Is that really considered decent feedback? You can do something wrong, and get "good" how does that effect things. He just overly does it, and sounds like he's talking to three year olds...what's up?
@glowingdarkmatter25 Using a lot of "over the top" intonation and paralinguistic cues (movement, tone of voice, gestures, etc.) can help create more comprehensible input for English Language Learners. I agree that it sounds over the top out of context, but as far as creating comprehensible input for a student's second language development, it is an effective method for beginner/intermediate students.
What is going on this video? it needs more background. Why is the guy videotaping overly excited about nothing? If the teacher created this box why does she struggle with defining the words?
I'm thoroughly confused. But stepping out of your comfort zone... that's a very dangerous thing to practice. What she should really be teaching is expanding the comfort zone. Stepping out of it creates withdrawal that people call "shyness".

@ColonelMarksman interesting distinction. IN the USA, stepping outside of the comfort zone eventually expands it through familiarity.
