Unfortunately, if an artist is trying to break in the U.S. market, the material must be and/or sound familiar; looking hot on top of that puts an artist at the head of the class with MYV, VH1, etc. I bought the Miss Dynamite double vinyl lp from Amoeba Records in Hollywood; after 1 listen, I knew she would not crack the U.S. market with that project, there was no single or track on it that r & b/hip hop/top 40 radio would embrace.
