@allardsalliance There can be a million different reasons... you might be trying to install a 64bit version on 32bit Windows 7. Maybe you need to have Administrator Rights... and there can be more reasons. You will have to figure it out.
Hi! Could someone PLEASE tell me how to make the touchSCREEN scroll like that in my IE browser, cause mine just selects the text when I touch the screen and drag!
@Trebamauto I wouldn't use IE for touch browsing. When you use IE you have to pick a "blank" spot that doesn't have text and then scroll. I would use Firefox which is way more touch friendly. i have a video comparing different browsers and touch scrolling.
@JesseBAndersen I just checked on a S10-3t and works fine for me and you don't have to be in a blank spot. If you want to select text you have to hold it for a sec. Otherwise it will just scroll.
I think this is the touchpad I have, but I find it really annoying that the buttons are part of the touch sensitive zone. I usually rest my thumb on the left click and navigate with my index finger but now, that I have a computer with this pad, I can do that anymore. Is there a way to disable the button zones to touch?
@JesseBAndersen Yeh I've looked quite hard through the settings and can't find anything which allows that, I'll just get used to it I spose. Thanks anyway.
@Sylverthis You can modify software speed values so stuff like scrolling can be adjusted. The trackpad size makes it a bit hard to do gestures because it's very small compared to most average laptop trackpads.
You are right. The small touchpad also makes a bit harder to use the new drivers. I don't really use the touchpad that much and prefer to use the touch-screen. It's a plus feature but nothing you fully need. I find myself always wanting to touch the screens of laptops that don't have touch features which is a habit the S10-3T has created in me.
Can this driver work on my newly-bought thinkpad x120e? Or this driver is already installed or I dont need this driver at all?

@Ibodnano Most laptop touchpads/trackpads are Synaptics based and the drivers are found in the systems already.

@allardsalliance It could also be... that you are trying to install a Vista or XP driver in a Windows 7 system.

@JesseBAndersen Sorry for thumbs down, was testing the touch pad, and accidentally, clicked on the bad thumb. Sorry.

I have a synaptics touchpad, and the newest drivers, but the section where I should enable this is greyed out. Any ideas? :(
CabooseBE 1 year ago
@CabooseBE If you have an oldish system the touchpad might not have the capabilities of multi-touch.

@domakent I think you can do all that on the Synaptics settings.

It depends on the trackpad or the driver?
