Fallout 3 and New Vegas were both great games in their own respective categories, i can't compare them in any way (other than minor graphics/add-ons, since NV came out later).

Both games were awesome and kept me busy for a looong time.

Though i felt more in-depth with F3's DLCs than NV's

Keep in mind though over 90% of the buildings in fnv don't actually open. The doors are all boarded up. It kind of sucks, I miss exploring buildings like back in fallout 3

New Vegas is better than Fallout 3 in literally every way. As expected, Obsidian schooled Todd Howard and his band of no-talent nimrods on how to make a Fallout game.
