But when my little cousin dropped my Crystal in the toilet, I realized just how much the game meant to me. People always say Pokemon is just a game. It's more than that for me. It's my childhood.

I wonder how many batteries I wasted, just to here this one song. I love the ending, and would spend night after night just walking around to the area with the Dig TM. It was luminescent, and even now brings back nostalgic memories.

When Gold and Silver came along, That's when I began playing normally, and thinking with tactics, status, etc. I guess Gold and Silver was my starting point, in terms of seriousness.

D/P/Pt = My fav. gen for music; rich bass, funkier beats, return to catchy melodies.

I used to fall asleep to National Park, New Bark Town, Ecruteak City, Kanto (before Tohjo Falls), the lullaby at the end of the end song, the Crystal intro, and would waste my Game Boy Advance's battery. Crystal was the game that got me into Pokemon, even though I started playing during Gen III. I always get a new Pokemon game when it comes out. I have about thirteen now.

Okay. So before we have those few idiots who start going on about how the game covers for gs remakes that are throughout most of the video are fake and blah blah blah: they're not. Well, at least the names aren't; as goes for the boxart, it could possibly be fake. However, Dusk Gold and Dawn Silver were kinda like prototypes (or just early versions; whatever the hell I'm supposed to call them.) of HeartGold and SoulSilver .

This is an amazing remix. It reminds me of the days when I used to play Crystal a lot. It's kinda weird to think that people who have and will be grown up/growing up with the later generations (3, 4 and 5) will have nostalgic feelings about those generations.

This has a more upbeat feel overall mostly because its got a faster tempo. the 1 in hgss uses a piano through most of it. this would fit better in the day at national park. cool remix!

I think what made Generation 2 so special was the player being able to travel between Kanto and Johto.

Also the towns, the music, the creativity. It balanced modern towns with very traditional ones. Added a dark side to the story with Team Rocket' plots and hide outs, even darker than Generation 1.

I hope Generation 5 comes out this nice too, for now we'll have these ones to cherish one more time.

I'm not from the old school of Pokémon 2Gen, but, even when I hear this I can feel nostalgia, sounds so peaceful, so cool, I would love to get out my Swampert from Hoenn. ^^

My Swampert have traveled to Hoenn(Ruby), to Kanto(LG), to Hoenn again(Emerald), to Sinnoh(DPt) and now, he will go to Johto, my home (RSE main character comes from Johto), and now, after three longs years, we are going to visit the Johto and Kanto regions.

My Swampert did much the same, although in reverse order somewhat.

Born in Hoenn (Emerald), raised to level 71 and traded to Ruby, then traded from there to Kanto (LeafGreen), Pal Parked to Sinnoh (Diamond) and traded to Platinum. He's level 100 now and although my EV trained Swampert is stronger than him, he's still epic. (I nicknamed him 1337N355, and he's been knocked out once due to an OHKO move when he was still a Marshtomp.)

The DS (DSi) has more than enough power (come on now, I don't imagine Pokemon games taking up much CPU) but it would leave the Pokemon community in an uproar if they made a t.v series of Pokemon after they made the last game and didn't let you catch the new Pokemon.
