  • I have to say while this is a good version there's better. This for example:

    watch?v=Vej6-xvyIno

  • I have to agree too, this is the best version of Soothsayer I've heard, and I think I've heard all the live versions available on youtube

  • Well I'd agree this is the best live version seen so far on YT !

  • To play like Buckethead, your guitar strings must be made of strands of Chuck Norris' hair.

  • I stopped watching my porn for this

  • This is better than drugs ^^ and healthier

  • buckethead wrote a song on GUITARPRO. The program is not supported ...!

  • I love how he made one of the most beautifully written songs in history, just so he could shred for six.minutes straight, haha. He truly is a genius.

  • I wish buckethead would join a band, I love him, but it really would be good for him

  • @yarbgreat1 He was in Guns 'n Roses for a while. Needless to say that was a bit weird.

  • live at ? ? ? ?

  • allien!!!

  • un@#%$ing believable! I'm in awe. Lightening speed... bow down to Buckethead.

  • does that girl know a sniper has her right between the eyes

  • this song makes me wanna rock the fuck out and cry at the same time!

  • Bucket Head has "The Bucket of Destiny."

Satan's KFC box that God stole and ate all his chicken from. :D

But he melted that down into a guitar pick, and buried it in a potato, sold it on ebay to himself, took the potato and incinerated it with his awesome. And got a regular KFC bucket, painted it white, and stuck it on his head. o-o

The "BOD" is completely irrelevant. :D

  • I would gladly tour with Buckethead for a summer.

  • buckethead change my life

  • i wish i were a girl .. and he would finger me...

  • @353472340 he tried that once. she died.

  • @353472340 --no human could handle a fingering of that magnitude.

  • @353472340 gayest comment ever ¬¬

  • @353472340 yes !!! it's my frequent dream !!!!

  • @353472340 I would finger your mum asshole.

  • Wow..!!! My Brain Exploded..!!!

  • SHREDDING WITH SOUL...JAM UP BUCKETMASTER!!!

  • @TheShredMasters This is why he's the best.

  • i wish he played more with a band

  • I'm so tired of people comparing Buckethead to God. I mean, he's good and everything, but he's no Buckethead.

  • @h3adbanger95 Im tired of morons posting such cliche comments again and again. I mean they're good but i dont need to be told again and again on every video.

  • His costume is so emotionless... And still, it's like he used an ancient magic spell to gather any emotions and put them all in his fingers... We came understand how he feel just by hearing him, and that's what a true guitarist is.

  • what the hell is that cracked out girl doing, someone make her shower

  • Someone get this nigga a 12 piece, stat!

  • If God played guitar, he'd do it like Buckethead !

  • @420BongTokes God plays guitar actually!

  • @LightkiIls Not as good as this guy ! ;)

  • LIVE AT??

  • How doeshe move his pinky that fast!!!

  • OMFG!

  • @shadowkiller3500xd and under that mask is god

  • All we know is.. he's white

  • this tune is so good, yet so sad.. it's brilliant

  • 3:01 that solo is so addictive and hipnotizant

  • Oh mon dieu un petite fausse note à 3:30 Buckethead est un homme !!!!

  • @vicken28 a 3:31 plutôt, puis sa me choque pas plus que ça.

  • This song is awesome :3 !

  • Big Sur Moon is by far the best to see just how much Buckethead was actually influenced by Paul Gilbert, not to mention the whole Giant Robot stuff reflecting right back over to Paul Gilberts own thing with Godzilla. But listen to the Echo Song by Gilbert then listen to Big Sur Moon and then tell me you cant hear the direct correlation between the two guitarists. That aside they are both freaking AMAZING, but Gilbert was more of an influence for myself.

  • Buckethead was studying with Paul Gilbert for only about a year and the only real musical connection between them is that recognizable lick. Bucket obtained much of his guitar knowledge from Pebber Brown, who I personally consider a far more skilled player than Paul.

  • Man, the best guitar player! I'm crying!

  • great song and great player.

  • 7:12 he mistake? :O !

  • @thecallofthemetal no, you mistaked

  • @lordmorgoth7 nono ! CHECK BETTER!

  • @thecallofthemetal the amp surely got screwed or something his pìcking is continuous and even he make a wrong pick in that shred part of the solo at least the tap of the notes should be listenable

  • @lordmorgoth7 ooh :)

  • Fucking GOOSEBUMPS!

  • to the people who disliked this 'FUCK YOU'

  • buckethead does the same shredding (gilbert taught him) in all of his songs... while gilbert is technically of course widout doubt the best but buckethead wins in composing music that we hav never heard before ...As in big sur moon and echo song is technically the same but composed better by buckethead

  • I will never play as good as the greats.

  • 3:25 <3

  • makes me remember the movie V for Vendetta

  • @fallios then you are a fan(boy) .. you said it yourself that it was buckethead who inspired you to play so it comes natural that all guitarist that is not buckethead will be lesser/inferior to him.. so fan(boy) checked :)

  • Gilbert would never play the Might Les Paul like this. Bucket is not another guitarist he is his own person. People need to stop trying to figure out lol Shawn Lane and Gilbert are not bucket lol. Plus dont sound alike.

  • BUCKETHEAD SHOW AS YOUR SECRETS!!!!

  • @upchuckwoodchuck Chromatic scales, dorian, lydian, atonal tapping, cage system, killswitch, wah, whammy. = Buckethead.

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 he doesn't use the whammy bar

  • @popalltheway "whammy pedal"

  • 3:31 now i know hes not a robot

  • my friends do you believe in aliens? because i sure believing that buckethead is not of this world!! hahahaha

  • @Vengeanceisourpassio And to that i say shawn lane.

  • @junkerde The truth is: Gilbert is more commercial, Buckethead is better in tapping, Gilbert is better on String skipping. Buckethead is more versatile in relation to the genres that he play on guitar . etc... Both are great, matter of taste.

but I like most Buckethead (unquestionable personal feeling and affection for the music he makes, the dilemma is over.)

  • @VoraciousBlood that last statement applies for gilbert also if you watch him do instructionals, shows, etc.

  • Paul Gilbert is Buckethead

  • @skadooshify hahah thats what ive always thought, maybe he is!

  • @skadooshify Well... I´ve never seen together... mysterious? but no.. he´s not Gilbert. Due to the Tours dates. He can´t teleport. Or... maybe yes xD.

  • @fallios that means your biased lol.

  • Omg! 7 mins of that kind of shredding.. Now that is some talent people must appreciate!

  • buckethead is so underated

  • @mac13ane Yeah.. Too much underated

  • @mac13ane no he isn't...

  • @mac13ane its cuz no one is interested in guitarists solo careers -__-

  • the best part starts at 0:00 and it ends at 9:17

  • the video is rigth best live version

  • @fallios i wouldn't really say that. if you've seen the way he teaches, explains and plays music its a whole nother thing. not saying one is better than the other, they are both awesome in their own right.

  • i love when there's closeup on buckethead mask, you look into eye holes and you find there only an boundless emptiness

  • @SumkaMovies Behind his mask there's another mask.

  • @shadowkiller3500xd Naruto , ain't it!

  • @shadowkiller3500xd No, you racist, that's his face!

  • @shadowkiller3500xd What mask?

  • chuck norris picked up a guitar, but then he heard Buckethead, and he killed himself

  • I'm sorry but the production value of his show is awful. The dancing girls on stage with that lighting and back drop just don't really set the mood; and truly distracts from the overall performance of the piece. The music on the other hand is absolutely incredible.

  • Qe hermoso toca este hombre <3

  • can play everything except that last minute or so note for note..took awhile to build up enough dexterity though

  • @fallios comparing guitarists to one another is like comparing a blender to bed. Just don't do it.... every guitarist has his own little trademark... so grow up asshole

  • @fallios I don't really know if he's more technical myself, Gilbert plays a tiny bit cleaner but at least Buckethead doesn't play the exact same lick 23974 times per song

  • Ohh THE IRONY!!!! WHY IS THE SONG CALLED SOOTHSAYER WHEN ITS SOOTHING???!! But its still so awesome that i cant resist listening to it...

  • que geniooooooo!

  • @fallios In technicallity? Buckethead shits on Gilbert? No, Gilbert is more technical, he does quite a few more advanced techniques that Buckethead never really does, for example string skipping arpeggios. Show me any Buckethead song where he performs a string skipping arpeggio, I'm not saying he can't I'm saying he doesn't, also Gilberts picking is slightly cleaner.

  • @FlipFF It depend on what kind of technicallity you're talking about. In pure speed, Buckethead wins!! If diversity is what your considering, Gilbert has more tricks up his sleeve. Buckethead's runs are pretty straight-forward. That being said, In my less than humble opinion, BK is better. His musical vocabulary is bigger and way better.

  • @gr8techtalk I don't agree with the speed aspect of that, as the majority of Gilberts songs are faster, especially his work with racer x, but who really cares? They are both amazing guitarists.

  • @gr8techtalk Lol that is actually one of the more accurate comments here.

  • when is this?

  • feeling start at 6:53

  • @JnrTheSoul No my friend, feeling starts at 0:20.

  • @Fallios never said "BUCKETHEAD IS LESS TECHNICAL THAN GILBERT". I said "maybe", cause I can't be sure, but, as I expressed, I prefer Buckethead technique.

  • Stop dreamin and just play you never know

  • i cant find the drummer licencied?

  • @Lokar92 wow, tripping over a small mistake.

  • Comment removed

  • i used to play the guitar, but then i took a bucket to the head.

  • @Jiinqs so surely you now shred with the soul of a million chickens?

  • @Jiinqs no. just no. that works backwards. the bucket provides the awesomeness. it is the source of his skill

  • is that les paul?

  • @jl03811 Its pertty much custom (:

Its thicker and has an awesome killswitch!

  • is he playing with backing track?

  • ultimate poker face

  • He never plays this exactly how it was recorded. He has fun with it, and as for notes out of key... It's music, we're not writing counterpoint here... its music! Beautiful mistakes!

  • live at?

  • Amazing :)

  • Sorry but i remembered Buckethead so much better than this.. i'm not saying i'm better than him, but i've noticed a few awful mistakes here i thought he could not make..

  • @Lokar92 in many live shows he makes some awful mistakes, probably from improvisation, that just proves he is not a machine (despite he looks like one), and is pure soul.

  • @Lokar92 Everyone makes mistakes in playing guitar even the very bests.

  • @OldMusicftw Yeah, that's obviously true, everyone makes them, but not THIS bad! Just listen to that note completely out of scale at 3:30 .. He's not shredding in that moment, that's a very simple lick but he still makes a beginner mistake. I wonder if he would play better without the mask so that he could actually see where he's playing.

  • @Lokar92 It's obviously not the mask, considering he plays everything else perfectly.

  • What show is this?

  • Brian carrol is bucket head for you guys that ask

  • grande buckethead !! mejor que slash >:) que tecnica y originaliddad

  • Slash out !!! Live buckethead

  • At beginning sounds like beginning of janes addiction three days

  • I just want to fart on those 2 dancing sheila's then blow it in their face oh praise Jesus

  • 19 people play too much Guitar Hero...

  • so underrated

  • Cool ;)

  • It's the little things like at 3:38 that REALLY blow my mind.

  • his fingers are long and slim thats perfect for guitar. so we can say he is

    GUITARBORN!!!

  • Fun fact, those women aren't part of an act. Mystic babes materialize everywhere Buckethead plays. They disappear into the void as soon as he stops riffing.

  • live at??

  • ps... not a hater... actually a fan! i always like this video...it's just that somehow it doesnt sound good at 3:30...:)

  • @NarutoRaCh im a huge fan too ........ but cant deny ... ur ryt

  • @NarutoRaCh Even God makes mistakes... such as the platypus

  • oh my f*ing god... is it just me or is he out of tune from 3:26 - 3:31....listen carefully

  • 19 people have shaky hands...

  • Bucket vs Eddie hazel Would be worth your soul..

  • If I could ever find the tabs for this I would dedicate the rest of my life to learn how to play it by heart.
