I wish people would educate themselves before watching or creating videos like these. But then again, people like to assign faults instead helping to find a solution.
BTW, have you commentors noticed that when an atheist says something "hot" and controversial their comment section is ALWAYS free and uncensored, but when Christians do the same, their comment section either requires approval or is outright disabled, as is their rating system? Yeah, I've noticed their general cowardice as well. I find it...well, interesting to say the least.
Am I intolerant against Islam? Let's say I have ZERO respect for anyone who DOES NOT repudiate the koran, and how can you be Muslim if you repudiate the koran?
If 4 men merely accuse your wife of being "lewd", you SHALL house arrest her UNTIL SHE'S DEAD. (Sura 4:15).
If you merely fear that your wife might rebel against your arbitrary dictates in the future, you SHALL kick her out of your bed and BEAT HER INTO SUBMISSION. (Sura 4:34).
Anyone who does not repudiate that deserves DISRESPECT.
Im an indian and Im not surprised about this number. Can you please post a link to this poll?
The number is probably high because of some traditional cult-ish version of hinduism that has become the norm is many societies. (religion's to blame again !)
This is more common in rural areas where there is little or no education and the concept of untouchables (dalits) is wide-spread.
Female infanticide is the most common form of killing.
Life in prison? I hope he's doing some serious labour that will help pay for the wife's education. Either that or he can starve to death in my opinion. I think the guy had some pretty damned serious self-esteem issues, he was probably feeling threatened that his wife, a WOMAN, would become more educated/smarter than him.
As you pointed out in a previous video, apparently those living thousands of years ago declared it a higher crime to denounce their god, than to own another human being.
Thusly does morality reveal itself to be a matter of context - subjective.
That is my issue with Christianity. If what is ordained 'good' is not permanent, then God cannot be permanent. If God is not permanent, he is the product of the temporary - of Man. If Man made God, God is of Man; and therefore, not God, save as an idol.
Mankind, being a species of reason, rarely DOES anything without a reason. Unfortunately, there are many who take 'reason' from 'faith', and commit atrocities in the belief that they are vidicated BY their faith. Truly, then, does the wedge between reason and faith widen; for what begins as 'good intent' becomes warped by ages of misinterpretation of simple doctrines.
You know how these Christian talking heads say things like "Homosexual marriages would make the notion of marriage meaningless"? You know, I somewhat agree with them on one point, though it isn't people of the same sex loving each other.
SLAVERY in the guise of marriage makes the notion of marriage meaningless. If we allow women to be sold by their fathers to a new master who has complete and utter control over her and call it "marriage", then that word IS meaningless.
I think I'll go look in one of those countries for a wife, maybe I can save one of those beautiful women from such a horrible place. I could cry for this woman; I don't even know what to write, so terrible, so despicable. I would cut off his fingers too as punishment and put him in jail for life.
Not often i have to challenge you but while this is a shocking case and this evil prick might have carried out this deed according to Islamic culture we must remember that Bangladesh is largely a Muslim society and it is that Moslim society that is looking to give him a life sentence. Now if this arsehole gets off due to lobbying from Islamic clerics and hence this deed sanctioned by Islam, we can truly blame Islam. If this had happened in Sweden would we say it is part of secularism?
Why can't they just be like Christians and not actually know about the evil fucking laws in their holy book. Haven't heard of any wives beaten lately for speaking in church or people stoned for eating bacon
dude I can't wait for every vid u make ,if I knew you I'd give you cash to take ur grandma out to dinner, you r very entertaining , refreshing to see a young smart man! fuckin rare these days..
I am an Indian and I'm sickened to see the name of my country on that list. Religion is a disease here too but I can only be glad that its slowly fading away.
Islam needs to have an Enlightenment, it worked well for Christianity, religion should be gelded everywhere, it deserves no power over humans, even the power we humans give religion voluntarily is too much, giving religion absolute power is despicable...
That is light, comparatively speaking... and the man is actually getting punished? Amazing. The seem to actually be addressing these archaic crimes against humanity now. Still... they need to buckle down harder... this happens because so many do get away with this fucked up shit. Islam and Scientology seem to trade places for most reviled to me lately. "Taking the lead for shitty beliefs: Islam!"
It's not islam that does shit like this, it is and an extremist sect of islam. Most muslim people are against that. It's sort of like saying that all christians are violent racists because the K.K.K. is christian.
@shagoosty fuck islam. the most violent religion in the history of civilization and yet the still have the balls to claim to be the "religion of peace".
@shagoosty I guess you didn't got the point: The crusades were driven by the Catholic church... against the Muslim invaders who had just taken away Constantinople (modern day Istambul). It in itself is more than an oppressive movement from the Catholic church, but a religious war in which both sides had faults.
@jocularsplash02 I think his point may be more because Islam teaches that women are inferior and deserve to be under men and punished if they overstep their bounds.
@jocularsplash02 Moderate religious people, while perhaps themselves not as disgustingly perverse, create a place in the world for the extremist religious people. In some cases they condone the extremists but they certainly create a community in which extremists can hide-out and thrive.
I wish people would educate themselves before watching or creating videos like these. But then again, people like to assign faults instead helping to find a solution.

@thrashblackdeath666 I would say that Christianity is more violent. Christianity fueled all of the crusades and the Spanish Inquisition.
