  • With the CD release of the Forever: The Complete Marvelettes albums 1, and now Forever More, Volume 2, I've listened extensively to the vocal magic this group spun and in particular to the vocals of Wanda Rogers. This makes her tragic life, and the power you were able to coax out of her magnificent vocal instrument one more time, all the more poignant. I truly appreciate this historic clip as I do all your Motorcity Recordings featuring the Marvelettes & other Tamla Motown artists. THANKS!

  • So great to see this wonderful singer again. Thanks, Ian.

  • appears to be a white powdery substance in her hair. what a performance!. she still has it. brava! diva! impeccable!

  • What a tune, what a band and what a lady. Now I remember why I play the vibes.

It was that tune with the best band in the world, the funk brothers with Joe on guitar and Jack brokensha on vibes. Nothing compares......Dont mess with bill.....

  • iAN YOU MIGHT BE EVERYBODIES CUP OF TEA OVER HERE IN ENGLAND, BUT WITHOUT YOUR ORIGINAL IMPORT THE SCENE WOULD NOT BE WHAT IT IS TODAY AND FOR PROJECTS LIKE THIS I TIP MY HAT TO YOU. RESPECT WHERE ITS DUE KTF

  • Great song. I grew up in Motown and this music is an integral part of my soul! I love Wanda's low slinky voice when she says...don't Mess With Bill.

I am singing this song tomorrow night in a 60's contest! Thank you Ian Levine...I loved it! And thank you Wanda for introducing us to this song so many years ago; It is still a winner!

  • Mr Levine:Thank you so so much. This you did was a sterling sacrifice and labor of love.We don't know you but we do now and we love you. I first love Georgeanna>Gladys>Wanda>Katherine. On Saturdays I saw 5 shows for t total of 60 cents so I had to see my girls well over 100 times between 1964-70. Truly their act complimented the Temps. They had intricate choreography that no girl group ever had. They had beauty and class that Gordy wanted and wished the Supremes had.t Barrett Strong on guitar?

  • I hope Wanda is ok. I never thought she would outlive Gladys Horton. Thank you for recreating "Don't Mess With Bell" with the original singer Wanda (Young) Rogers.

  • R.I.P Gladys Horton.

  • that is something there she is the real deal right here now we have the actual person with the voice we all loved to hear back when i,m glad somebody out there remembers them besides PBS

  • @sheddski Amen! ditto

  • Ditto to ALL the above..! Thank you, Ian.... and thank you Wanda! May God bless you for bringing such joy to so many people through you beautiful voice and sweet smile.

  • I met Wanda while working in Inkster. She would bring me up her scrap book from her singing days and proudly show it to me. She wasn't a street person, lived with family but she was always seen walking around. She did indeed have some problems but she was the sweetest person i have ever met. She 'disappeared' and it was assumed she was in a nursing home. God Bless Wanda. And if she is no longer with us then she is singing down to us from heaven.

  • @levibluezz Oh God! She was a wonderful singer......Her voice expressed more than Diana Ross's, she was one of the greatest singers of her generation. I hear her problems started when someone spiked her drink whilst she was touring in Europe years ago. They got exacerbated when her sister got shot years after. What a shame. Why didn't they accept "Where Did Our Love Go"? It was written for them.....

  • @levibluezz Wanda is still with us, levibluezz. Her location is still a mystery but she is being cared for by her oldest daughter.

  • God bless you Mr. Levine for keeping this music alive! One question, are The Monitors still performing? If so where? I searched and found some live videos of them and they sound great! If you close your eyes and listen to the first tenor, he sounds a lot like a young "Smokey"! Best wishes to you and and all these outstanding musicians;

  • Thank You

  • dont mess with Wanda

  • aight Wanda! she got this!

  • what a cool song , i like it

  • GO AHEAD WANDA!!!

  • *Yes I agree. There should be a special star in Heaven shining in your honour, Ian. You gave a crap about these people when nobody else cared, least of all, their former Boss, Berry Gordy Jr. About Wanda? Well, i HAD a special contact who knew Katherine personally, that would keep me abreast on Wandas condition. Hadnt seen him in a few years...

  • Amen. Mr.Levine is the genuine article-unconditional love!!!

  • For someone like me, who had followed the Marvelettes since their first hit, this video was hard to watch. I had a HUGE crush on Wanda from 1961 up to when FOREVER was release, where I became truly infatuated with her after that. I never missed a performance when the Marvelettes came home to Detroit. The week of my release from the service (1971), friends and relatives (I have cousins that live in Inkster) told me that Motown was gone and The Marvelettes had broken up. (More)

  • Over the years, up to this video, there have reports of Wanda hitting the bottle and dealing with substance abuse. One report says Wanda is in a caring home in Inkster, she is very sick, and is Skitsafrenic. Still another report says, as of 2009, Wanda Young Rogers lives in the Detroit suburb of Westland, Michigan. Here is a stand up applause to you Ian Levine. Me and a lot of others, take our hats off to you for the glimpse of our favorite artist performing.

  • This is one of my favorite songs. I remember years ago hearing the Marvelettes singing in a bar outside Buffalo, standing on the bar, maybe 1971, and they were outstanding. She has a wonderful smoky voice, great video.

  • @erieriver Wish you could have heard her on stage sing Smokey;s "Oo Baby Baby". Did it impromptu between 2 songs. We went to lover's heaven! If u can get your hands on "Goddess of love"' the flip side I believe to "He;s a Good Guy,Yes He is, I think you'll luv it/

  • Kudos to you Ian, for showing the world that Motown wasnt just the Smokey Robinson/ Diana Ross showcase! Some people refuse to listen to Motown music because of this concept...

  • Thank you IanLevine for this project. That was a time when people were geniunely good hearted. It rejuvenates me to reminiscent.

Also remember, in reference to Wanda's condition, its important to know that EXERCISE and Proper diet reverses alzhimers and even some forms of schizophrenia.

  • Wanda still look great for her age. With what she has gone through. I wish I had her hair and pretty skin. He whole family could sing. They all had beautiful long hair. I think it was about five girls. There were three handsome brothers also.

  • Brilliant song by a brilliant singer. Thanks for this wonderful post Ian.She's a very special lady.

  • Mr Levine - just wanted to echo the sentiments of waynebrasler - there WILL be a place in heaven for you for giving theser artists the attention they deserve despite daunting circmstances. Great Job!

  • @bristolstomp AMEN !!!!!

  • There will be a special place in heaven for Ian Levine and what he brought to reality in doing new recordings with Motown artists, many of them long last and many of them neglected and forgotten. He gave everyone the best production and recording he could. And came up with new material, something most of them probably never dreamed they would have again. He didn't have to do any of this. He wanted to do all of it.

  • What a lovely thing to say - I sometimes thought nobody cared.

  • Wanda's life has been the stuff of Shakespearean tragedy. She never recovered from a deeply traumatic family tragedy and suffered medical problems which were difficult to address even by those who loved her. But the talent clearly has always been in place. Diana Ross picked up many of her trademark stage mannerisms from watching the Marvelettes perform in the early days; watch the Apollo footage and Wanda and you'll see. Again, Ian deserves a medal for giving Wanda dignity

    and happiness.

  • @waynebrasler From waynehazzard to waynebrasier thank you for the info. I never knew what happened to Wanda. Your comment is so on point. I've seen them live well over 100 times. Read me here - I'm wayne5552 or hazz5552. I don't know Ian, but I love his spirit. He's an angel. Thanks again Wayne

  • @IanLevine I am so glad that you have done what so many others of us have only wished we could do....These artists have produced the soundtrack of our childhoods and have been discarded!...You did not do that, and have even tried to revive many of them professionally and PERSONALLY (even more important)...I am so thankful and envious of your experiences with them!! God Bless You, Ian Levine!

  • I couldn't agree more--so exciting to hear these voices I've loved my whole adult life singing fresh new tunes. Ian surrounded himself with great song writers/arrangers--all of Pat Lewis' contributions are catchy beyond words, and gave the "second tier" artists a place in the sun, if only for a time (second tier in sales, maybe, but never in our hearts). He is the ultimate Motown fan, and, like a lot of us, probably found greater heartache backstage than in the audience. Hats off!

  • Love that smoldering soulful voice...Wanda is awesome & hope all is well this tremendous lady & wondrous talent...love this & When Your Young & In Love, I'll Keep On Holding On, You're My Remedy, Danger, Heartbreak Dead Ahead and the list of Wanda classic songs goes on and on...Bravo Wanda & The Marvelettes!!!

  • Oh Wanda.You're the one,T

  • Fantastic. Love, love, love the Marvelettes. This is a great recording! My Baby Must Be a Magician, The Hunter... loved those tunes!

  • Oh Wanda..you still look Marvelous! Sounds like you haven't lost it either! You're very missed in the music industry, I play all the Marvelettes CDs and albums over and over..my room mate hates me! Thanks for the memories..

  • thank you for posting this great vid.... I'm from the UK and grew up listening and loving these classic tracks in the 70s/80s and beyond ... this music is never ever going to go out of style and Motown owe it to the memory of these girls hard work to release to a new and adoring public ...This is classic soul at its best - thank you!

  • wow what a great voice!!love her!!all the way from ireland............

  • Postman was the first BIG hit, laid the foundation for other hits. What I don't understand is with 90 posts nobody brings up the worst day in the lives of the Marvalettes. Holland, Dozier, Holland wrote and have "Where Did Our Love Go" ready for them to perform and they say NO, "you want us to sing "baby, baby"?

So it goes to Diana and the Supremes and the rest is Motown history!

  • Yep! but "Where Did Our Love Go?" was one of THE most Boring songs in R&B History! ONLY Dianas' "Freakish" voice could have saved it from obscurity...

  • I would be SO interested to know what happened to Wanda. Such a tragic story..it deserves to be tol.

  • contriversey aside...Mr. Levine lived his dream and helped many others live theirs by getting these artists to perform even for one more time....it must have been hell on him..many of these folks were out of the spot light forever...and thier were alot of ego's to deal with...Levine gave us all the chance to hear and above all

SEE our idols do it again...Here in NYC they always got wall space (DISPLAY) in the shops.

here we have well known classics by proven artists...thank you!

  • This is the most wonderful comment, and reading it reminds me why I did it in the first place. I thank you in more than words can ever say. You have reminded me, and reaffirmed my faith today.

  • Great song..Good job.!!!

  • As part of the Motown 50th anniversary, part 1 of the Complete Marvelettes Recordings was set to to be released on compact disc in the early part of 2009. Join me in making sure that Motown Records lives up to this promise. The body of work that these ladies recorded has been out of print for far too long and deserves the full treatment with respect for the soul pioneers they were. Thankfully their legacy will live on! True soul never dies.

  • The Marvelettes, and especially Wanda Rogers music has stood the test of time. Smokey Robinson's sublime production work on those classic mid 60's recordings have never been duplicated. As good as the Supremes and Vandellas were, the Marvellettes earned a special place in the hearts of true Motown fans because of the heartfelt soul and heartbreak that radiated from those Tamla 45's. Thank you Ian Levine for your love of the music and persistance in documenting soundtrack of our lives!

  • Takes me ALL the way back. You all deserve to be awarded a medal at the White House. I am dead serious.

  • Thank you for sharing. Wanda take care of yourself. You are loved by so many. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world. We will pray for you.

  • love da song

  • no wonder it was called "sexy soul"

    Wanda still sounds wonderful

  • God Bless you!

  • The last I heard(2 years ago from a close friend of Katherines')was that Wanda was being cared for by a star-struck-couple somewhere in suburban Detroit...

  • what?is this true? is she still married to bobby rogers?

  • They've been divorced since the early 1970's. They have children who still live in the Detroit and Inkster area.

  • no she is not they divorsed in the mid 70s

  • The Monitors.

And Robert Bateman is conducting the orchestra as a one-off.

  • Where is Wanda at now? I remember back when I was in high school in Detroit at Cass, and I went and saw the Marvelettes at the Twenty Grand on 14th Street

  • Omigod - I've never seen Wanda live! I love her voice - have listened to it so often for so long - just wonderful. I am so indebted to you for posting this. Thank you so much!

  • Love that voice, and i could never get enough of Wanda, thats my girl

  • surely this cant be LIVE ? if it is , then this is truly AWESOME it just takes you back ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS BEAUTIFUL

  • It's a combination of footage of a live performance mixed into the sound of our studio recording of it.

  • Mr. Levine , I am so intrigued with your site and look at it to see where my favorite Motown stars are now and if they still got their groove on . I hope that Wanda is not schizophrenic , is going senile , or anything like that and these are just rumors and assumptions . It is wrong to spread rumors and assume unless one has the facts and can proove it ! It is time we show the Motown stars that are still with us and can still perform that we appreciate them .

  • I totally agree with you, Medic83301. I loved Wanda Young-Rogers when I was a young girl, and I still do!! I love this clip-- it shows that she can still entertain and work the stage. What a delectable voice!! I hope that she's still active and happy.

  • stop the negitivety, im 14 ive liked motown for years got all the records the lot.

wanda is so gracefull and gourgous.

    shes fantastic

  • There hasn't been any negativity. This performance was a true miracle.

  • dont write wanda off yet. she is the best marvelette

  • Oh Wanda. I am literally in tears as I write this. I had not heard of her sad story. I along with many of you, was with Motown when it started bought all their music and embraced all of the artists as my own family. Sadly our family has thinned out. She will certainly be in my prayers. Much love to you Wanda.

  • Some of her plight is in "Me, Berry, & Mtown" by BG's 2nd wife Raynoma S;if I saw 1/2 of what WR did I could never perform like in this video..

THAT book outlines a LOAD of early stuff on Mtown & BG's oblivion 2 them & their lives - & always was from the get-go UNLESS he could profit off'm.

He is not their Bank, but when some were smart enuff 2 want stock in the comp they became persona non gratas & booted.

He cuts them out of his life & Motown tributes - how ruthless & demeaning!

  • Wanda aint going anywhere any time soon, thats my girl, im praying for Wanda always, these girls need to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with Mary wells

  • ok now im pissed mary wells the 1st lady of motown along with the marvelettes who gave motown their 1st #1 pop hit are not in the RRHOF! this is an outrage!

  • hi, ian levine i my self will never write wanda off i just wish some one new for sure that she was doing just good can you fine out ian and post it so every one can know what's really happending. thank.

  • Death comes to us all...Miss Wanda had a good life, considering. She traveled and sang for audiences around the world; She is beloved by thousands of fans, and she made far more money than she would have-had she been a nurse!Which would you prefer?-A life of nursing homes;not knowing where you are;WHO you are-Or what's being done to you!?! If she IS dying then we can ALL be thankful to have witnessed such a brilliant and beautiful star shine before us-if only ever too briefly...

  • Please don't write her off yet.

  • Just teriffic despite the problems a great, great job on the video. Thanks Ian!!

  • Wanda is just simply the beat! sorry Gladys Horton

  • They are both awesome....

  • i have here this every day thats how much i love it.

  • i love the way she sing this song i remember this when i was a lil girl. and til this day i still love this song i hope and pray she is not dying.

  • WOW! She still sounds great! Motown always tried to "polish" the "girl groups" of Motown. But this video goes to show you, she was always polished and very professional. Sad to hear she had a rough "later years". My best to her always! From her #1 fan! Thanks so much for posting! I will always treasure this!

  • wanda, wanda, wanda, why arent you performing? we want you back!

  • The reason why she is not peforming is that news has come and wanda is DYING of old age.

she is in a old peoples home in inkster and is skitafrenic (wrong spelling)

so we have to hope and pray she pulls throgh

  • She might be ill, but she can't be dying of old age. She's only about sixty two.

  • ian im sorry but i spoke to someone who knows her and they said she dying im sorry but pray she will pull through.

  • Perhaps she's developed Alzheimer's (some of the symptoms can be similar to shchizophrenia)and could be hastening her death. I'm deeply sorry to hear this & feel I'm losing a friend.

She always tied with Mary Wells for being my #1 favorite singer. I have all the Marvelettes work' & though I love Gladys too, Wanda moved me like no one else.

  • I love this...I love her!!!

  • i love her!

  • There is a myspace page I ran into, on the

"Marvelettes" and it is from Inkster, Michigan, and I wondered since I have read here that Wanda lives in Inkster with her sister, coult it be her?

  • The Marvelettes were instrumental in building Motown. If Motown doesn't understand that, the FANS DO!

  • the best.numero um.que pena acabar de um geito tão tragico, voz maravilhosa.

  • God Bless her. I open my prayers to Wanda + the other Marvellettes for at least one complete reunion + we all be able to see it. No matter what situations are.

    And So It Is...

  • Motown needs to honor them!! They wasn't invited to appear on Motown 25 nor they was invited to participate in the Motown 40 documentary. And there are a bunch of fake Marvelettes touring the country. In fact some fool had the audacity to post the fake Marvelettes performing!!

  • I met Gladys, Katherine and Wynetta ten years ago and I also attened a ceremony in Inkster Michiagan where the group finally received their gold records for Please Mr Postman and Don't Mess with bill after 43 years of waiting. A congresswoman made over 25 calls to Motown so they could get their gold records.

  • Aww dear Wanda just makes it through. It's so sad that she's a poor lady in ill health living in a care home. Loving her as always.

  • Wanda STILL puts a terrific show on with her singing "Don't mess with Bill". Wanda??? Why aren't you out performing? You have what it takes Girl! Go for it!

  • wanda's voice was still in top form here. hope that she is doing well.

  • That was the first and the last time I got to see Marv Johnson, Robert Bateman, The Monitors, Hattie Little, Frankie Gaye, Jean Terrell, and many others without having to go far from home. Right in downtown Detroit! Thank you.

  • I was at this show, seated a few rows back from the stage with Esther Gordy Edwards and you Ian. Thanks for bringing this memorable performance back.

  • And I'm extremely proud that you're here on YouTube seeing the videos, because if you were there in person you know what I achieved. For example, eight and a half thousand people have watched this video on here, but very very few of them were actually there in person.

  • Ian, I am very aware of what you achieved without going into detail which allows those with issues to direct negatives toward you and all of the great artists that had the opportunity to record after so many years of being inactive. That night was a special one and was talked about for years afterwards.

  • Over the years I've taken a lot of flak, not just from so called fans, but often artists who feel bitter because they didn't make as much money as they dreamed of making, and saw my project as a get rich quick opportunity. Your wonderful comment makes it all worthwhile, to know it mattered to someone.

  • Glad to see that you are taking the comments on the chin. When people are talking, it means that you have done something to get their attention. In this case, it is something positive. I commend you for doing something that many had dreamed of. (Can you hear my applause?????)

  • On the one hand, thanks for the video. Years have past and I've always wondered what happened to my favorite Marvelette. On the other hand, it saddens me to tears to witness the travesty of time taking its toll. I keep going back to the 1966 video and comparing facial features and expressions to convince myself that this is really Wanda Rogers. My first response was disbelief. Then denial. I'm just talking my way through a bit of depression. Nonetheless, thanks again.

  • Does anyone know what happened to Wanda? Where is she now? I understand that she went through an illness. Is her daughter Bobbae a singer? I heard that Wanda still could be living in Inkster. She was the most talented female singer at Motown.

  • I had no idea that alcohol was he r"problem" all those years and never understood what could have brought on the "mental illness" that was written about. I saw the Marvelettes twice, once at the Apollo and another time at Filmore East. Great, sophisticated shows. I've always loved Wanda Rogers.

  • God Bless You Ian for putting this together.Wanda "was" truly one of the great beauties of Motown. But, I was wondering who put that"Black minstrel-Phylicia Rashad" make-up all over her??? Even in her old color photos, she was almost as "high-yeller" as the Ronettes...And yes, I can understand Katherines bitterness about show business-especially after she was robbed of her writing credit& royalties from a Gladys Knight song"I Don't Want to Do Wrong"(1971).

  • Hi, I'm Søren from Denmark. I hope that people who like this music will join up to receive "Reaching For The Best - The IAN LEVINE Newsletter". I'm doing a regular e-mail newsletter for people who are fans of Ian Levine's music, just like myself. If you too are a genuine fan of his productions, and you love seeing these videos, then send me a message with your e-mail address and I'll add you to the list. It's all free, it's with Ian's full co-operation, so please join in!

  • Great song! A classic!

  • Wanda's magical voice was always the lead on my favorite Marvelette songs like You're My Remedy, Too Many Fish In The Sea, Don't Mess With Bill and When Your Young And In Love...all classics from a stunning singer who deserved more acclaim!!! Bravo To Ian for bringing us more from these greats...what vision!

  • I thought it wa gladys singing lead on Too many fish in the sea ?? i may be wrong

  • It was indeed. Wanda sang the others listed, but Gladys definitely did lead on Too Many Fish In The Sea.

  • You are right that Gladys is the lead on Too Many Fish In The Sea but Wanda is clear in the mix and both singers are great...The Hunter Get's Captured By The Game, I'll Keep On Holding On & Danger Heartbreak Dead Ahead are other stunning Wanda classics but I love everything this legendary group recorded!!!

  • And so did I, which is why it was such an achievement to have recorded BOTH Wanda and Gladys. I tried to get Catherine too, but she just out and out refused.

  • Too bad about Katherine as she was with the group almost to the end of Motown run...love your recordings and have many of them...any plans to do more while these legends are still around? Kim Weston is my all-time fav and one of the most thrilling voices ever!!! Have everything she recorded and she once gave me a copy of If I Had My Way in the early 70's on a 45rpm...love "Changes" b/w a stunning "Both Sides Now"!

  • Ian, You did the right thing of what you did to Wanda

to have her record again and to have her to be on the stage to sings again. I know it was not easy and it was very hard. I`m very proud of what you did to Wanda to make her happy again. I will always love The Real Marvelettes of 1960`s in my heart and they were the greatest, Not The Faked Marvelettes of 1970`s

to now. Thank you for putting this up and Excellent Well Done too.

  • i dont understand why this woman is not out there making music

  • The one, the only, Wanda Young Rodgers! Do not accept substitutes!!!!

  • Quite right. It was my dream to get her to record again and I did it. Getting her on stage again was even more unlikely but I did that too.

  • From what I understand, Ian, what you did for Wanda was nothing short of a miracle. Too bad it didn't continue because as this performance shows, at that time, she certainly still had "it"!

  • her voice sound the same. so sexy and seductive

  • it's a shame how Motown treated Gladys and Wanda. Sure Gladys was kinda hard to look at but a little help in the make-up and dress dept from other females would have been nice. But instead, Motown family ostracized the Marvelettes, ridiculed them, verbally and emotionally abused them. It must have been very hard for them. Only

    Florence Ballard offered them help.

  • they r not even in the rock and roll hall of fame! what kinda shit is that?!

  • They finally received their gold records for Please Mr. Postman and Don't Mess With Bill in 2004. I was at the cermony and Wanda was scheduled to appear but was hospitalized 3 days before the event. Katherine and Wyneatta were there. I'm still pissed off that the only award they ever gotten was from the Rhythm & Blues Foundation.

  • Do you have any idea how Wanda is these days ?? This video was seventeen years ago, and I've lost touch completely now.

  • She's still living in Inkster Michiagan and from what I heard, stilling with her sister and was taking computer courses.

  • There is a mys;ace "Marvalettes" page made by someone out of Inkster, Michigan. Could this be her if she is taking computer classes and living with her sister in Inkster?

  • aww man...Wanda Rogers !! She was a cross between Diana Ross and Martha Reeves. She had that Diana sultriness and Martha's swing. That combination in my opinion put her over the top. Why Motown couldn't see this is perplexing. I loved her voice.

  • I love Wanda i think she's awsome her voice was so sexy

  • Wow! Pulling it off was a marvel!

  • When Your Young And In Love is a Marvelettes classic/favourite perfect record and the Smokey tunes on Wanda carried on the 'Mary Wells sound/magic' BUT why didn't anybody wise-up Berry Gordy to the Brit appreciation of his second-league groups and singers (Barbara Randolph, The Elgins, Jimmy Ruffin)? I am a fan of the Marvelettes, the Andantes (I enjoy singing along to their harmony parts) and Martha Reeves and the Vandellas - Las Vegas could keep the Supremes for me.

  • I've often wondered about this excellent performer as well as the other Marvelettes. It is good to see her again. Thank you for putting her on, I hope she does more singing in the future. She was one of the more attractive women at Motown in the 60's.

  • What a shame this once beautiful young woman couldnt be helped classic sexy soul voice

  • Fabulous! What a wonderful video. Wanda doing it! Just great. It would be nice if she, Katherine and Gladys could get together again and perform. Truly magical. And she looks wonderful too - no hint that she might be having problems...

  • I lived in Ann Arbor at the time and went to the concert with a college buddy who lived in Detroit in the 1960s.

  • I was at the Ponchartrain that night too. Got to speak to Wanda Rogers at some point that night. She said she liked "The Hunter Gets Captured by the Game" and "That's How Heartaches Are Made."

  • Wow. Do you live in Detroit or were you visiting for the concert ???

  • thanks wanda; love from holland

  • Wanda looks great!!! She was in good voice, but why did they overdub using that ridiculous Donald Duck voice on her high parts? Don't mess with a legend!

  • She couldn't hit the notes. It was pitched up to help her in just a couple of spots. Better that then what it sounded like raw.

  • SHE CAN HIT THAT NOTE! ... I heard them perform those old classics in Detroit she can sing that note that was an artistic call ...And you all would crucify Diana Ross for doing that...She really set the standard for all the singing women of her generation and many younger ones. That is why she is so envied today at 63 ...right along with these grandma aged women.

  • When was this recorded?

  • Great to see Miss Wanda doing it, no matter what her state is or was, hopefully we might see a Marvellettes reunion, even if its one show or appearance, thanks Ian Levine

  • I was sitting in the front role during this performance on the rooftop of the Pontchitrain Hotel in Detroit! Amazing!!!!

  • Bless her soul! What a tremendous talent. Thanks so much.

  • This is an amazing video. To get to see the only Wanda Young/Marvelettes performance since 1971 is a miracle. Also, thanks for the great annotation - this is really appreciated.
