I'm so sad this song didn't get more exposure in the US. This is truly a wonderful fantastic songs. One of my favorites. It reminds me of me. Cause I'm one of those girls who is sort of difficult to love. :-/
This song will always remind me of my 7th form year in 2000...It was a party year of a life time...I had a great time at Sacred Heart College (Lower Hutt) Yeeyah...not that I really needed to mention the school :-)
@Cheapskate1883 I know what you mean. I'm seriously crying remembering the memories this song brings back. St. Margaret's College Christchurch. I remember going to a party at a park in Merivale late at night, and one person started singing this song on the swings, and everyone else joined in. Cause everyone fuckin loved that song. It stands out as one of the best memories in my life.
JULIA YOU ROCKED LAST NIGHT AT GIVE IT A GIRL......My sis and I had nooo idea you we're in the line up so it was AWESOME when you came out and sung L Y D I A.........Can't wait for your album to come out next year!!!!
Saw Julia Deans playing acoustic at Te Papas 10th birthday a week or so back and she finished with this. I knew she could sing well, but it's not until you take away everything but sparse acoustic guitaring and can really hear her properly that it's apparent just how good she is. This was the very first Fur Patrol song I was a fan of (just from hearing it live before they were even signed!) but by 2001 I'd learned to hate it (radio'd to death) but hearing it her sing it on her own was amazing.
nah, the creator packed a so called great idea he thought it would, kiwi fm it it snow called. it sucks. ohh i miss the old late night talk shows on sunday nights but they slowly lost quality, bomber sort of imploded on himself, now he's a tad full of it. those were the days, i feel so old and .... old lol
So typical of alot of New Zealand music-brilliant but totally unknown off outside of NZ. And to think we are still overwhelmed by an ocean of overseas dross.
thumbs up if you were in high school in New Zealand when this came out

This is a gay band.

This is the farthest thing from hardcore!

Strange that this band just sorta faded away. They had a few good tunes on this album from memory and were actually decent for a kiwi band.
