God took from us the world's greatest vibraphonist and drummer.He is irreplaceable.There will never be another Lionel Hampton.God wanted him and that is the greatest command performance ever. We Will Miss You Lionel.

Lionel Hampton has played for 6 US Presidents including a command performance for the Queen of England.There is no musician who has received higher honors.Not even Evelyn Glennie nor Gary Burton.But both are great.

It really does bring tears to the eyes when you see him in his early days and now he has to be held up for support in order for him to play. Very tearful. It hurts for me to show this video to my friends.He died at 92
