The thing to do would be to start off with a berg or a rockshow. That will be 1 of the 2 to help you be better than most guys. I mean there a new guys that came to our comps which is tri state crawlers. They came with a Rockshow and came in like 15 out of 30 people. And that's there 1st time driving.

They sure are. If you're really interested however there are several options for you that are more affordable. Check out the Losi Mini Rock Crawler for example. Smaller scale but it's a great start and you can have just as much fun with those.

crawler kings are not that great, and the minis are fun, but still not quite like the 2.2s. Get a losi comp crawler, or build a venom creeper. I have a creeper, and with a few inexpensive mods, its unstopable!

I have a Novak Rooster speed control ($80) and pretty much any 35 or 45 turn motor would work. they are avout thirty. the steering servo is what kills you. you need a good one or else you will just end up buying a better one once you realize how much you need a good one. mine cost me $115

Depends what you're planning to do with it. You can't go wrong either way. Bare minimum you'll want aluminum knuckles, Cs, and rear lockouts.

they go about walking speed but they can go up almost any thing and if you think

it goes 15 mph stock you very wrong even with the highest gearing it might only go 10 max they are a lot of fun there only about $300

for a RTR version its called an(Axial AX10)

you can get them at any hobby shop

personally its better to get the kit version

you have to put together your self and get your own combination of electronics

theres a new twist to the crawling thing in r/c. its rock racing, it can go faster than the losi mrc, and the axial and all, but still has plenty of torque for quick crawling, its like the real rock racers, just a lot smaller.

Both are mine. You gotta remember this video was made before droop really came into play on the 2.2 rigs. And it's not neccessarily the best setup for all rigs and more importantly drivers.
