The first show I saw was back in 99 just before the All Hallows EP came out. It was probably the best show I have ever seen. They played mostly off Black Sails and Shut Your Mouth and all their older classics like He Who Laughs Last and I Want a Mohawk. I think its interesting how kids these days wish they saw this era of AFI like I wished I could see Operation Ivy live or The Dead Kennedys in their prime.

after so many years of playing punk, it'd get old to me too. eventhough punk is like, MY genre. and they progressed into playing a different style of music, which sounds amazing to me, i love anything they do.they still play punk music at shows... its just, they changed their new style, but they are STILL AFI.
