@TaintlessZero I love Autopsy's most recent album 'Macabre Eternal'. Just a great album in general. Cannibal Corpse are alright, but personally I've always felt they're a bit overrated. In my honest opinion, I feel that they're are a lot of better old-school DM acts around who better exemplify the genre to me - for example Morgoth and their '91 album 'Cursed.' But again, this is just my own opinion, I know a lot of people like them.

That being said though, Darkthrone are pretty kickass from the little I have heard of them. In terms of Black Metal, I tend to lean towards more first-wave stuff. The two bands I love the most in BM are Bathory and Emperor (esp. Emperor's album 'Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk' - just a great symphonic BM album) \m/
