Hi zboyco. Well I got the clawmount today & could you please give advice re: a simple rifle sight - not a red-dot but just a very simple rifle sight which would accommodate 15-30 yards & is relatively easy to set up & ZERO IN. I'd greatly appreciate your advice once again. THX. Sincerely, JAMES.
Dont know if u saw, but the DEA put a ban on this and called all of them to be returned. Mine sort of broke, shot a round thru the hammer. So i returned it and got a full refund.
@zboyco no, the DEA. Look it up, I have the letter somewhere. I said the same thing. As of April 28th all Gsg 5's were supposed to be turned into the federal government. Im not trollin, check it out. They say that the barrell on the rifle models act as suppressors, which isnt true, but thats what they said
Few questions. 1.) How do you like your barska? Is the dot bright enough in daylight? 2.) Do you like the adjustable stock? I've heard it can be wobbly.
Great vid. I bought a gen1 GSG-5 last week.. Glad I was able to find a Gen 1 since they don't make them in that style anymore (H&K lawsuit). I'm filling out the BAT form 5320 now so I can SBR it. Then I'll buy a real suppressor and adapter from Gemtech.
@soulescape the barska can only take .22 recoil. they wont hold zero on anything with more. yes its bright enough for day but you only get around 10 hours before you must replace battery. the adjustable has a slight wobble to it but a lot better than the airsoft ones that people put on theirs
@zboyco Well, I heard that as GSG owners we are supposed to do a screw & bolt upgrade. Reason being that the current supplied equipment has the tendency to strip out over time? Have you heard anything Re: this?? AND the screws are $25 and the 4 bolts are $25 - Now that is a bunch of $#![. These things were supposed to be so good & here we are having to put out bucks from the get. Something aint' right here. Sincerely, JAMES.
When the Term (K) is used, it should be noted that this letter (K) stands for the German Word (KURTZ) which means Short so the GSG-5PK should be called the GSG KURTZ
I would like to have the colapsable stock rifle version like you have here but would like to add a short (stubby) foregrip! Maybe after my next years tax return...if they are still available!
"you can put a stock on the pistol version, then again, it's a SBR then, gotta register it and pay fee" what's that mean? i'm thinking about getting one of these. thanks for the answer in advance.
@CaneCorsoZeus putting a butt stock on a gun with a barrel shorter than 16 inches classifies it as a short barreled rifle or SBR. $200 ATF tax stamp fee and filling out a form to register it as an SBR is needed
@KrptoSodium i'm pretty excited its the limited first anniversary edition and im also purchasing a full legnth top picatiny rail, a collapsible stock, and the hk slim hand guard
very favor your gsg-5pk..plz more vids of you shooting it and where did you got your guns from. planning to get one for hunting. plz reply asap. thanks
One of the better vids out there. Not too much umms and errrrs and useless repetition of information like other videos. Good close-ups, description. Should be getting my silver/black model soon. Thanks
I wonder will these 22LR weapons really help out gun enthusiasts beat the financial hurt of expensive amo in the long run in that cheap 22LR amo may make you shoot more and more often with the resultant greater wear and tear on the weapons making you have to replace parts, or the weapons more often? Same applies to expensive high milage hybrid cars that when considering their higher purchase cost really negates the money saved with less fuel burn. Confusing question, isn't it. Confuses me too.
you will have to pay the $200 tax stamp for an SBR. Talk to a class 3 dealer about how to go about getting your Form 4 set up and sent in. Once you have the stamp back in your hands, then put the stock on and have fun.
One tip: when you get the paperwork back, make 10 double-sided color photocopies. Keep one with the gun AT ALL TIMES. You need to have that on hand to prove you've paid for the stamp. Also, don't loan out your gun. You really don't want to have your friend get popped.
CCI mini mag work great in this gun. after it breaking in after 500 rounds or so, i only get 1 or 2 failures every 150-200 rounds id say. not bad for a .22 gun.
are there certain brands of these stock or just one?? i see them on ebay and G-broker for good prices i'm gunna put either this stock or the ump style folding stock on the new sd nickel gsg's i bought. how u like the stock would u perfer this one or a folding stock?? have u heard anything on the ump style gsg folder??
i have seen a few different types out there. some people have used airsoft stocks. some use the GSG brand. there are others. i heard the other non GSG brand stocks are pretty cheap feeling. i love the retractable because it has multiple positions and can retract all the way forward. the UMP looks high quality but i didnt go for that because you are stuck at the stocks length when folded out
sweet so what brand is ur retractable stock are there cheap imatation ones or just one kind?? the stock can retract all the way out correct it doesnt stop at a certain point when pulled out?? does ur stock feel or get loose, did u change out the screws on the stock???
mine is the GSG brand. fits great. there are like 3 or 4 different positions. it goes all the way out or all the way in. its all metal except for the butt plate. i used the same screw that came with the carbine to install it
if you put a stock on the pistol version, then that is deemed an SBR=Short Barrel Rifle. You must register it and pay your fee. The full size is fine with any stock on it you wish.
Well anyways i just wanted to comment on your shooting, not that you suck or anything but i see that you jerk the triger and if you would like to get more accuracy you should slowly sqeez the triger trust me you will be more accurate.
not yet. I shoot ISSF air rifle division and .22 rimfire caliber pistol maches at my local club. I have shot others but they were with barowed firearms, I have shot and won the turkey shootout competition, the yungest one at that 16 was the record I won at 14. Im corently 15.
I figured out that you can get them here in Germany also legally, after a long odyssey of paperwork and years of practice with a 2 or 10 round magazine.

The prices for the carbine version is about 600 Euro, haven't seen a short version jet, I'm pretty sure that it is not allowed.
Ordered this from a gun catalogue for £495, then paid an extra £200 for all the attachments, stupidly brilliant gun.

You couldn't have that in the UK with the short barrel and no stock, Highly illegal.
We have to have a minimum 12" barrel and overall length of 24". Looks nice though.
ST11002006 2 years ago
Does adding the collapsible stock make it illegal
qaszxc12345 2 years ago
nope.... that's why the barrel is the entire length of the fake suppressor

(Sorry if I seem like a show off LOL)
gunlover19112 2 years ago
correct, when you slowly squeeze the trigger you cant anticipate the kick (or small bump in this case) and wont have time to flinch
conrad2468 2 years ago
exactly! thanks for giving a little more detail to why its better. It helps a lot too when sighting in a firearm.
