  • I want to see him buy stuff

  • I guess Google didn't go far enough making taking Steve's innovation and building an inferior iPhone... apparently the Google CEO had to make an inferior version of Steve Jobs' speech as well

  • @chrlsnos dude no wonder steve is awesom in his speech & ideology! but hey inferior iPhone well ur Iphone is just to inferior that inferiority becomes very inferior to use as a word ! :P Android allows the best customization features and apple might suck android's balls for losing to the 4.0 OS

as for Larry he is a nerd he is cool and he is the reason u actually found this video his message was good

    #try speaking :P

  • Is he trying to leave the same impression Jobs left ?

  • Larry you are great

    Keep inspiring people

  • genius are geniusssssssssssssss

  • Larry's message is excellent and its inspire us a lot..

  • so great

  • yes outstanding indeed.

  • the speech is outstanding!!! makes me feel motivated to study hard

  • Great speech, from heart.

  • Al Gore had that idea: Let's gather the ideas of the world together. Too bad he did not know what the words 'let us gather ideas world and together' really mean. Larry and Sergey have a hint.

  • This is THE guy who will chang the world! Larry Page! GOOGLE.... ANDROID...... can't wait for the next one......

  • "When a really great dream shows up, grab it".......Now clap for me bitches.

  • Larry Page! Another reason to be proud to be a Wolverine. GO BLUE!

  • my sister graduated that day and i attended and right before his speech some guy said " I'M FEELING LUCKY"!!!!

  • Talks as if hes a computer

  • I always wondered why larry never talked

  • @regressiveparty LOLLL man I've been laughing at 3 minutes at that comment lol man,

    Congratulations Larry.

    אני מתנצל לומר מילים מטופש.

    أعتذر عن قول كلمات غبية.

Je m'excuse pour avoir dit ces paroles stupides.

  • Good speech

  • Hey write "gift" before youtube.com!!!!

  • I H.A.T.E Y.O.U L.A.R.R.Y P.A.G.E,

  • and I also like his genuine intellectual curiosity. We won't succeed in achieving all our dreams, and that's ok. Let it become a hobby, just "working on it" is rewarding as well.

  • I watched Steve Jobs' speech at Stanford before this and I read most people think it's better than Larry's. I disagree. Larry Page's message is on a higher level. I think I've heard "Do what you're truly like and you will succeed" a few million times before Steve Jobs said it. Larry Page here's telling you not to be merely successful, but exceptional. There's no higher aim than attempting the impossible. There's no higher purpose in life than making the world a better place.

  • total nerd for sure

  • Mr. Page, you have inspired me more than I can say. Being a 17 year old Flint MI kid,it's hard to dream. It's hard to "make those dreams real" here. I'm a senior that didn't have a lot of money, but I DID have love and motivation from my parents-a life coach and a police officer- and my grandparents-teachers for 80 years combined- who showed me that I can achieve my dreams.I'm going to U of M. And when I finally do, your speech will echo through my ears.Thank you so much for lifting my spirits.

  • he's a real man of genius, at his young age he become a billionaire

  • You are genius with the great soul, wish you the best coz you deserve it ...

  • you are the best sir.

  • larry you are the best..

  • bull shit, well the last part that is... family is not what matters. for some of us don't have them. yet we still achieve great things...

  • @misterjackfrost

That's not what he meant. Family and friends are important in life, generally. Whether you're a over-achiever or a loser. There's more to life than success and achievement.

  • Well, georgehennessy, I just hope your speeches are 5% as good as Page's company, because it would make you a wonderful speaker then. ;-)

  • Man is rich off his ass.

  • Proud of Michigan

    of course Larry too

  • LoL! I thought this guy was doing a bad Yoda's impersonation.

  • it's good to know that one of the most influential people in the world is that smart and kind.

  • great speech Larry....I listened to it all

  • Go blue!!!

  • Sure his delivery wasn't good, he is a computer geek after all.

But, his message is excellent. The guy is a genius on a lot of levels. I'll never forget this, so glad that this was my graduation speech.

  • LARRY DA GOD

    Sincerely,

    Humanity.

I was there at the Spring Commencement 2009 of the University of Michigan held on Saturday, May 2, 2009, 10:00 a.m., Michigan Stadium. However I was not commencing but came as a guest to listen to your speech. Your speech was awesome, personal and I still remember it.

My dad studied at the Ross School and I am currently a freshman at the university.

    Go Blue!

    Varghese Jacob

    Hail! to the victors valiant

  • He speaks like terminator. l0l

  • Visite my Site and my Channel :)

  • @LP:

Ok, your ghostwriter delivered a damn boring speech. You could at least have read it from a teleprompter (or two, like missa president). It would have sucked less.

But why should you care, now that you pwn the intarweb?

  • jeeze how big is their graduating class

  • cool..

  • He is rich

  • un genio con cara de ardilla.

    a genius with squirrel face.

  • WTF...not his text!!! lousy delivery!!!

  • test

  • nice guy!

  • ma che cazzo di voce a?

  • Karaca! Tava lotado!!!

  • Karaca! Tava lotado!!!

Mas também... era o Larry Page!!!

  • He's not the best performer or speaker I have seen, but he sure is richer than me... lol.

    5 stars!

  • ke scemo

  • you'd think the guy would learn how to fucking orate and articulate properly.

  • This is among the best commencement speeches.

  • man is a genious, but annoying voice

  • g e n i u s

  • My nails are wet but here goes. With respect open communication will work. Blunt instruments happen, part of human nature? Polio in this speech is an acronym for neglect, which happens to as many people as google reaches or more. I/m proud of America and its researchers and scientists for finding a cure...Hello India. It was nice to meet you Larry. :)!

  • Synnonym, not acronym, is what I should have said. : )

  • Funny and moving speech. Larry is so cute.

  • impressive

  • Times have changed. When I graduated from U-M, we had old media. Walter Cronkite. He was good, too.

  • very impressive, but he looked down to his piece of paper EVERY TWO SECONDS.

  • Be grateful the best person could be. Very Nice

  • great speech of a great man

  • Impressive talk. :)

  • Awesome speech...good man with a good spirit

  • With all the physical momentos Larry draws from his life to tell the story, it is almost like he sees his life as a bunch of data that needs to be represented by the most relavent information.

  • He has an annoying voice.

  • it sounds like he's trying and failing to do a kermit the frog impression

  • Very touching. Hard to believe he just graduated from Michigan 14 years ago.

  • he looks like adam corolla...

  • interestingly enough here's what larry brilliant, google's chief philanthropy evangelist has to say about polio ...

There is hope for some good news on that front: Another disease may soon join be checked off the list of human scourges. Because of the dedicated staff of WHO and Unicef, and the generosity of Rotary International, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and others, polio, with only 1,500 cases in the world last year, may soon follow smallpox into the dustbin of history.

  • This guy is awesome!

  • Who is this guy? Is he the guy who does Kermit The Frog's voice?

  • HAHAHA "Kermit The Frog" xD that was funny... Actually he's the co-founder of Google.

  • i didn't even see this when i posted my kermit comment...excellent observation :)

  • Larry Page, thank you for a very inspiring speech! You are awesome and you have and continue to inspire millions and millions of people!

  • Loved it!!

  • Very average speech - hardly noteworthy.

  • holy robbie-the-robot. who wrote his speech for him...Gomer Pyle?

  • Did all those graduates majored in computer science?

  • wow.....

  • Impressive :)

  • whats so great about this speech... his jokes were bad

  • he created google. if u want comedy watch comedy central.

  • ur obviously not the least smart, it is obvious i meant i didnt understand why ppl lauhedat his lame jokes and his speech as a whole wasnt brilliant, in the words just as in the way he spoke. He is not a good speaker...

  • how many people agreed with you on that one?

  • probably lots of people.
