  • Description, "Star Wars Part 5".

  • Hallo. Don´t seem so old to me... Anyway beautyful to watch and with a variety of footwork not only bandalchaguis. My opinion on tthe long dispute on Taekwondo, Taekwon-Do, ITF, WTF, etc. I hope you are so passionate in your Art as in this discussion. Obviously there is a lot of misunderstanding regarding the terminology. And lack of information too. But Shotokan is better als "remixed " Shotokan and Taekwondo is better than any of its detractors or sectarian lovers.

  • i thought u said you won't talk anymore? You might be older but you have learnt nothing, first empty your cup! And like i said earlier.. Learn some respect!! You have no manners and you don't even act your age, your just making yourself look bad. I've been totally normal but you obviously have an attitude problem. Did the gen choi teach you to be like this? I guess your a very bad student, if I was gen choi I wouldn't have let you in the dojang. You don't have martial arts spirit shame on you.

  • so what ?

  • Even the mix Martial Arts guys laugh at the Olympic style as we are just Plain embarrassed by it. Get a clue you want to see for your self how different it is try to find a Traditional Tae Kwon Do School and see. remeber that not all School are at the same level. I Traind under a Korean Grandmaster not many people can say that. He is still a big part of my Tae Kwon Do School that I own. I hlod the rank of 6 Dan. So you think I know a lot more than you ever willen sliding embarrassed

  • Do you know what a scissors kick isDo you know what a twist kick is. I bet you don't even know what the differents between a reverse roundhouse kick and a reverse hook kick. I bet you have no idea what a sliding side kick is. Heres what Tae Kwon Do means Tae to kick or smash with the foot. Kwon to punch or destroy with he hand or fist. Do the way or method. Now a days people reffer to us as combative Tae Kwon Do.

  • I 30 years Exp how about you?? I started before the Olympic style was even an idea. you say they are the same they are not. You can count how many Kick the Olympic style has on two hand Traditional style has over 1000.

  • why is this old school?

  • Thats Not old School thats crap that started in 1988 called WTF World Tae Kwon Do Federation. ITF International Tae Kwon Do Federation 1955 Thats old School

  • @paul1833 itf was formed on march 22, 1966 check Wikipedia! also itf is a style of taekwondo however wtf is not its only an organisation for sports taekwondo that is affiliated with the Kukkiwon. Even the itf founder general chois' school of affiliation (chung do kwan) and the kta are affiliated with the kukkiwon.

  • @paul1833 Everyone should stop arguing and slagging off and rather go over the facts and respect each other. i have respect for all styles not their sparring but there ideas are trying to achieve same i.e. tang soo do (moo do kwan) which is part of kukkiwon too, please everyone gain some knowledge before you slag others off otherwise it makes you look silly. I could argue all other styles of taekwondo ring sparring looks the same as kickboxing.

  • @paul1833 Remember one thing TRADITIONAL TAEKWONDO FOR ALL STYLES SELF DEFENCE, STEP SPARRING, SPARRING AND TECHNIQUES ARE EXACTLY THE SAME, THEY JUST USE DIFFERENT RULES FOR THE RING! :-)

  • @mrhooneyno1 what? R U serious? I beg to differ!~ Chang Han series is FAR different than the wtf crap they pump out these days. The 1 step, SD, ect are also better and more realistic!

  • @jiggahippo I seriously don't know what you mean, the name sounds Chinese. Anyway I was talking about WTF and kukkiwon saying they are two different things. I don't want to change argument to who's better or whatever good luck in your art.

  • @mrhooneyno1 Chang Han is the ITF forms.

  • @jiggahippo Oh yea well let's agree to disagree but it's not what I wanted to mention. Good luck in your art but remember to go on wikpedia and do lots of reading-taekwondo is Korean not Japanese let hint hint.

  • @mrhooneyno1 hmmm. well yes and no. After 33 years fo study unnder Gen Choi I have learned that ITF is simply Shotokan remixed and then reapplied kicks. In the late 70's 5 new forms were created and Kodong was removed thus giving the ITF 24 forms. I personally use the original 20 forms only and do not use the signwave. And to be honest the only WTF i would ever believe was anything related to traditional Martial Arts are the Palgwe forms.

  • @jiggahippo This is healthy more discussion less hate I'm likin it. By the way there is no such thing as WTF taekwondo ;-) WTF is only a sports governing body that deals with competition they have nothing to do with teaching taekwondo. Maybe that should help you out a little :-) what you see in the ring is sports it has rules so don't compare it with traditional free sparring. Another thing you spent 30 years learning from gen choi but you don't do some patterns and sin wave? Oh dear!

  • You can't pick and choose to do sin wave or not if you are then your not satisfied with your art same goes for your patterns you can't pick and choose and then boast about itf chan han!!! And yea there is some things similar in itf and kukkiwon taekwondo after all gen choi did learn some from chungdokwan which has a major influence on kukkiwon taekwondo. Gen choi's oh do Kwan is no longer a martial arts establishment. Also your right alot of applications in itf resemble shotokan blame gen choi!

  • Also we get alot of itf black belts comin to our club and they look as if they have been learning a Japanese art. Kukkiwon taekwondo I purely Korean the combination of the kwans combined. Also if you have 30 years experience then you should not be disrespecting top fighters. Find faults within yourself & correct them first as your not satisfied picking & choosing from itf which you learnt from gen choi & calling something WTF taekwondo patterns when they have nothing to do with teaching anything

  • @mrhooneyno1 WTF patterns only use Tae guek and Palgwe and they do not recognize any other so this is why most poeple refer it to WTF. And Im not bashing anyone just stating facts. And yes I choose what forms I teach and enjoy that is why I no longer use my ITF numbers. The Gen understood and accepted my thoughts before his passing and issued me my dans so I do not know why U seem so hurt.

  • @jiggahippo Not hurt I'm correcting you, FOR THE LAST AND FINAL TIME, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS WTF PATTERNS! THEY ARE KUKKIWON PATTERNS WHICH IS MAINLY INFLUENCED BY CHUNG DO KWAN THE FIRST TAEKWONDO KWAN WHICH NAMED THE ART TANG SOO DO. KUKKIWON PATTERNS!! GET IT?? Probably not...

  • @mrhooneyno1 Chung DO Kwan? I DONT THINK SO! Those Kata's are japanese and the Kukkiwon and the Koreans were getting away fromthe japanese forms. AND the ITF forms were the second generation forms then Palgwe then the CRAP came out in the form of Taeguek. And for the last time U DONT KNOW THE HISTORY OF ANYTHING! TYPICAL KUKKIWON PERSON MAKING CRAP UP TO FIT THIER NEEDS! IM ENDING THIS NOW, ur not smart enough to be talking to me.

  • @jiggahippo Kata's??? I wasn't talking about kata I was talking about Korean patterns!!! And yes kukkiwon is majorly influenced by Chung do Kwan!!! Just check wikepedia!!! Your very arrogant and you don't have the taekwondo spirit. Gen choi would be ashamed to call you his student, most masters would have thrown you out. Why don't you do your remixed shotokan and stop watching taekwondo related videos and issues as your more concerned about shotokan remixed kata bla bla bla taekwondo is Korean!

  • @jiggahippo From wikipedia:First generation Chung Do Kwan students include:

Duk Sung Son (Founder, World Tae Kwon Do Association)

Suh Chong Kang (Founder of Taekwondo Kuk Mu Kwan)

Woon Kyu Uhm (current Kukkiwon/Chung Do Kwan President)

  • @jiggahippo Hae Man Park (Vice President, Taekwondo Chung Do Kwan)

Hyun Ok Shin (United Chung Do Kwan Association, headquartered in Floral Park, NY)

Tae Zee Park (President Tae Park Taekwondo, Headquartered in Jackson, MI)

In Mook Kim (President and GM American ChungDoKwan Taekwondo Association ACTA)

Michael T Dealy (Founder, World Martial Arts Association, Headquartered in Brooklyn, NY)

Lindsay Lawrence (President, Chung Do Kwan GB)

Edward B. Sell (Founder, USA Chung Do Kwan Association)

  • @jiggahippo Last but not least:

Jhoon Rhee (First permanent Tae Kwon Do Instructor in America).

    Now learn some respect!!

  • @mrhooneyno1 R u still talking? lol wow, ok! Fine ur great and awsome and bla bla bla. NOw get over ur self. Ive been in TKD longer than uve been alive.

  • @jiggahippo i thought u said you won't talk anymore? You might be older but you have learnt nothing, first empty your cup! And like i said earlier.. Learn some respect!! You have no manners and you don't even act your age, you just make yourself look bad. I've been totally normal but you obviously have an attitude problem. Did the gen choi teach you to this? I guess your a very bad student, if I was gen choi I wouldn't have let you in the dojang. You don't have martial arts spirit shame on you.

  • nah when you get your blackbelt in WTF in 1 year that means to say you're good at poomsae not sparring...anyway my seniors here trained when they were still 13years old and got their black belt at age 27 but of course they needed to slow down training maybe 1 a week because of their work.

  • fuck you all and suck your dicks till dead instead discuse about that shit...sport or martial art stupiddumbassfuckin piece of shitheads

  • A Taekwondo practitioner disrespecting taekwondo??? Just goes to show how ignorant you are.

  • Typical boring WTF style. Not an art, just a sport. Type in TAGB and take a look at some decent "foot fist art" sparring.

  • I totally agree with you... I hate wtf tkd it's crappy piece of shit sport

  • thats taekwondo ITF ¡

  • not an art?? go there with your TAGB and see how much time can you hang in there withut getting a fucking K.O.

  • If it was real "old school" they wouldn't be wearing chest pads and their hands would be up in a defensive posture, Chung Do Kwan style.

  • yes i agree... damn why did they have to change the rules..

  • 1 kick every 20 minuts. tkd was good when was a martial art. now its just sport.people getting black belt in 1 year.its really sad

  • it's the people who use it. in korea it still is hard to get a succeed for black belt. there a lot of taekwondo schools in the world which give black belts as candy. for me, it's still a martial arts. i like the calm it gives me when i do a poomse. it's how the way you see it

  • In Korea they give out black belts in one year because they have training everyday except sunday the more days you have trainings the faster your able to get black belt..But in some countries they only have trainings 2 or 3 times a week so its much harder and takes so long because they don't have enough training sessions and some poeple forget alot of the stuff that they learnt in the pass..

  • around 141 blue jumped REALLY high

  • NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!!!!!

  • nobody cares

  • blue one was far superior but red put up a fight in round 2!!
