The outlaw 525 KTM motor is the worlds fastest acclerating quad and is not for novice drivers. I have a Outlaw and it took me 2 months or so before i could blast it flat out in 1 st and 2 nd gear because there is that much power it would flip the quad if you just went flat out so you have to slowly feed the power in. An experienced rider on an Outlaw 525 would beat any stock ATV out there. Trust me if you havent driven one dont talk shit because when you drive one you will see what i mean.
A stock outlaw will usually be about a bike length behind the 700r but with stock 14 tooth sprocket outlaw stock goes 76mph. My outlaw smokes 3 mod 700rs

That looks about right to me. I have a 2008 Raptor 700 and a 2007 Outlaw 525 irs. Both bikes weigh about the same with the Outlaw having a lot of weight in the back from the IRS. The outlaw has good midrange power, the raptor is smooth.

All rider skill. I have experience on both machines, and from what I can tell, the raptor is heavy, handles badly, and is too tall, not wide enough. Outlaw any day of the week.

I watched my friend race a Outlaw 525 on his YFZ 450 first hand. They were even and then they hit some rough terrain and the outlaw's irs helped it walk away. Pretty cool thing to watch!

It was my buddy who is as good a rider as me, and we went down 3 times and it was the same result every time. now honestly, the 525, I don't know never raced one. @alburd1 idk, I have talked to people who have riden both. It turns out that the honda is better of the line, and at top speed, but the yamaha beats it all the way up to top speed.

@bensonboy989 no way is your outlaw 500 doing anything to a yfz except losing. the only reason a stock outlaw 525 can hang with a stock yfz450 is because it has a ktm motor on it. my buddy had an outlaw 500 and it was junk. even my raptor 700 was beating him not to mention my yfz.. if a yfz left your 500 off the line then there is no way you caught him unless he let you. the only way you could beat a yfz on an outlaw 500 is for the yfz to flip over out the hole.

i had an outlaw 525irs for 6 months and it would out accelerate my mates 700r up to 60 but the 700r would always win by a few quad lengths that was on the road and only when the outlaw wasnt getting repaired! Good fast bikes but reliable not IMO. Had to sell it it was costing to much to keep!
yes i have a 07 raptor 700 my girlfriend has a polaris and it smokes that one every time,she even bugs me to ride mine at the dunes and i hate it.and yes i have exhaust intake and a power commander.but id did just fine before that.
i can't speak for the either quads on the dunes, but i can tell you right now on pavement or dirt, the predator and outlaw 525 will match or beat the 700. maybe its because in dunes torque is king ( and the 700 powerband is all torque ). my cousin has an 07 gytr 700 with HMF exhaust, and that quad still won't beat my pred once we hit 3rd gear. unless he does a gearing change it wont be any different. i don't even have my quad big bored yet...
do you own a raptor 700? if not stfu...in STOCK trim they are slow compared to a stock outlaw 525. hell when my 07 pred was stock,on the road it matched the raptor up until 3rd gear then i pull away slowly. the raptor powerband hits hard until 6 or so then dies off. raptor 700 this...raptor 700 that...most people don't have big money to dump into the quad anyway other than an exhaust and intake and that won't change its power curve much

Not to jump in on your shit, but if you fucked up a KTM than you had a 1 in a million lemon or it was caused by the user. KTM 525 in the outlaw will kill a yfz450 and any raptor 660 or 700, I do it all the time. In performance and reliability. If your really a mechanic than you already know that. Also a raptor 660 to a yfz450 cant really be considered an upgrade.

I watched my friend race a Outlaw 525 on his YFZ 450 first hand. They were even and then they hit some rough terrain and the outlaw's irs helped it walk away. Pretty cool thing to watch!

It was my buddy who is as good a rider as me, and we went down 3 times and it was the same result every time. now honestly, the 525, I don't know never raced one. But of course I'm gonna pump up my XX!

@Nd4Spd36 Yeah the IRS helps get the power of the polaris to the ground better. I personally love the raptor 700. You wont get that kind of low end torque on a 525 or 450. Torque FTW!

@bensonboy989 no way is your outlaw 500 doing anything to a yfz except losing. the only reason a stock outlaw 525 can hang with a stock yfz450 is because it has a ktm motor on it. my buddy had an outlaw 500 and it was junk. even my raptor 700 was beating him not to mention my yfz.. if a yfz left your 500 off the line then there is no way you caught him unless he let you. the only way you could beat a yfz on an outlaw 500 is for the yfz to flip over out the hole.

Good race but in unlike most vid the raptor rider is good an the outlaw rider is bad... Outlaw shoulda won buy a .5 to. 1 leanth.... I'm a Honda fan so I got the 700xx... All good quads.... I think the outlaw is best for drags rappy is good for the track and the xx is best allaround and rule the trails...

@APBTisBeast no young kid in fact i ride my outlaw 12 mils to work one way threw the woods almost every day during the summer. in fact my son has the Raptor 250 and off the showroom floor it sucks many upgrades required. It is a much different rider looking at the Outlaw than the Raptor I ride fast in the woods rocks stumps and rutted up mess on a solid axle that would not be enjoyable for a daily ride THE RIDE SAYS IT ALL LOL

13:1 comp piston pro circuit head kibble white titanium valves, cammed (16 over), stock carb with 195 main jet, we've also removed the fire screen in the air box, hence the 195 main jet
crank has been ballanced its on a stock stator and stock clutch basket with kevlar plates.
full titanium exhaust system (powerbomb. 4.1)
iridium spark plug also has revised cam timing some other minor mods that dont affect performance aswell, it's actually putting out 57.8 but they dyno rounds up... cheer's

i had an outlaw 525irs for 6 months and it would out accelerate my mates 700r up to 60 but the 700r would always win by a few quad lengths that was on the road and only when the outlaw wasnt getting repaired! Good fast bikes but reliable not IMO. Had to sell it it was costing to much to keep!

i can't speak for the either quads on the dunes, but i can tell you right now on pavement or dirt, the predator and outlaw 525 will match or beat the 700. maybe its because in dunes torque is king ( and the 700 powerband is all torque ). my cousin has an 07 gytr 700 with HMF exhaust, and that quad still won't beat my pred once we hit 3rd gear. unless he does a gearing change it wont be any different. i don't even have my quad big bored yet...

do you own a raptor 700? if not stfu...in STOCK trim they are slow compared to a stock outlaw 525. hell when my 07 pred was stock,on the road it matched the raptor up until 3rd gear then i pull away slowly. the raptor powerband hits hard until 6 or so then dies off. raptor 700 this...raptor 700 that...most people don't have big money to dump into the quad anyway other than an exhaust and intake and that won't change its power curve much

Not to jump in on your shit, but if you fucked up a KTM than you had a 1 in a million lemon or it was caused by the user. KTM 525 in the outlaw will kill a yfz450 and any raptor 660 or 700, I do it all the time. In performance and reliability. If your really a mechanic than you already know that. Also a raptor 660 to a yfz450 cant really be considered an upgrade.

like i said man, i'm extremely dissapointed at ktm. i wouldn't blame myself just due to the fact that it started having problems the 2nd week i got it. it had less than 10 hrs for gods sake! what i meant by "upgrade" was track wise. i race mx so you know, the raptors tippyness, cornering, and acceleration don't compare to the yfz's. but hey, i def agree with you! the few times that i actually did get to race the ktm, it impressed me, just not it's realibility or the efin cust. service.

tecates arn't that fast, there not much faster then a 400ex and there about even with a yfz 450, we have one around here it handles like shit my friend owns it, junk suspension ect, zillas are probably faster then my outlaw modded but stock vs stock the outlaw has a higher top speed, i have raced one with a pipe and it got me by about 2 bike lenghts, i rape raptors though, but mines the straight axle soo
