I nave intelligence level 10 so my character will reach 100 in each category be the end of my play through!! I am slowly putting xp into that stat, plus I have the perk that gives me 10% more xp to level 3!! So I get 30% extra xp!!

I did not make an energy weapons character. There is just so much more variety with standard ammunition. But I do envy this gauss rifle, I found it, thinking about giving it to boone but I here he wrecks gauss rifles in a few shots.

I think the best energy weapon is the HOLORIFLE that u get from the dlc dead money. if you have it in good condition, and have Max Charge energy cells. you can take out a deathclaw in 1 or 2 shots. and its DAM is 150+. with ur energy weapons skill at 100.

dumb, 97 DAM isn't very good at all. there are guns with 150+ DAM. 330 DPS is good but only against enemies with a low Damage Threshold. Use the Gauss, the Anti-material, the brush gun, the tri-beam lazer, etc... better weapons

DPS means Damage per second.....not damage per shot, it tells with "DAM" how much it actually does per one shot which is only 97, But this is an old Video so I'll assume you know that like the Riot shotgun that has 360 DPS does not do that much damage per shot.....cause it'd be insane lol

The thing with the YCS/186 is that its a very tricky weapon, Its a sniper rifle that uses microfusion cells. Its heavy and loud, so you have to bet that you can kill whatever you're aiming at with one shot [head shot], its unique, that means that you CAN'T repair it yourself and you'll be making many trips to people who can, or if you have Jury Rigger perk you can repair it with some energy weapons found in the wasteland [90 repair required.] and it has no mods in the game... good vid...

The best? what about the Pew-Pew? Alien Blaster? and to me a gun isnt good because it can kill in one shot. The CZ57 Avenger proves that, with AP bullets it can tear up deathclaws pretty good. Also I love the Laser RCW with MC ammo and high crit chance (finesse, joshua graham armor, etc.) its great. Anti is just a powerful sniper, but not the best gun at all. If anything, it should be the Brush Gun which I believe before making the LD tougher was able to one shot him. Holorifle's tight too

It's also worth noting that if you picked the Wild Wasteland perk, you'll find the Alien Blaster at this location instead.

It's Damage per Second, not damage per shot. It's damage per shot is It's DAM stat. It doesn't kill nearly every enemy with 1 shot either. I currently have an Energy Weapons skill of 83 and it requires more than 1 shot to kill most enemies I encounter. I use the Hunting Rifle more than this weapon, I love using the iron sight :)
