  • The tune sounds thin, meandering and disjointed. Phil needs to drop an octave when he's playing bass on this tune and give it a groove.

  • I agree the BEST VOICE since JOPLIN That my friend is a STONE Fact!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • It is fantastic ! Thats all that has to be said.

  • what a voice

  • Best voice since Joplin...

  • I'm ok with it until it gets to the chorus. Just doesn't sound right without the Mary Clayton -high notes added in. Not bad though. The muscians could be a little tighter, too. In my opinion anyway...

  • @PizmoBeach1 I agree. This sounded like the kind of band you'd see in a small club and say "yeah, they were ok, but not great."

  • Joan can sing anything; check out All Along The Watchtower...Help Me...Fergie from the BEP's does a decent version of this...especially the chorus!

  • @phaknA - Yeah, i agree about Joan, and Fergie did pretty well as well. I've uploaded the Watchtower, also Morning Dew, Lovelight, Sugaree, High Times, China Doll and other Dead songs that Joan sang.

  • This is one of my all-time favorite songs. I used to have 3 versions of it. The Stones, of course, Merry Clayton (Yes, it's spelled that way because she was born on Christmas), who sang back-up on the Stones version, and Ruth Copeland, who opened for the Stones, on one of their tours. I used to play all 3, back-to-back, frequently. RAPE! MURDER!

  • I was there the shows with Phil & Trey were amazing!!!!

  • cool MrGratefulDean ... i heard there was a snow storm that night, kind of magical evening both inside and out...
