He didn't put any grease on the splines, the clutch will need to slide a little bit on the splines, they recommend a thin layer on there. VERY thin, otherwise it'll spin off onto the friction surfaces, and you don't want that, or else you and the mad scientist will have to tear apart the engine and replace that clutch you fried.
wow great video. got a great understanding of the clutch and flywheel. i noticed he didnt pull out the alignment tool. must it come out or does it stay in.
he didnt specify that you should tighten the bolts small amounts at a time, that way the pressure plate is installed evenly, or else it will slip and chatter
I'm about to change my clutch for the third time so you think i would remember where the grease goes, hopefully this clutch doesn't explode like the last 2 did, Got a stage 3 400+ ft/lbs trq rated.
you DO NOT want to put thread locker on your flywheel bolts, they are torqued for a reason, putting in thread locker will fuck up the next person that needs to pull the flywheel off. it will take twice the work to break that thread locker goo. BAD IDEA.
Your not suppose to put grease on the bearing retainer at 7:12. All thats going to do is just sit on there and collect dust and eat away at the bearing retainer.

I always called it a speedwrench. 50's lingo from my Dad I think. And I don't get the missing pilot bearing? Is it a bushing? Huh?
