Feudal Japan or Ancient China is plausible though. You see all the hidden stuff in AC 1? Some of it leads to Italy and AC 2 was set in Italy. The clues in AC 2 (like most glyphs) lead to Ancient China and maybe Japan. Subject 16 must be leading Desmond memory by memory so he will have to stay in the Animus longer and have hallucinations and through these hallucinations he will understand what 16 is talking about. Some clues in both AC and 2 lead to Egypt so it can happen too.

And your objective is to assassinate the highest authorities of the Nazis. Love these games, especially on the HD-TV really brings out the blood and sweat that Ubisoft has put into it. Add-ons are great but I still haven't gotten them yet, I'm ready for the third one... heard that you will play as Ezio again, Ubisoft doesn't want to make the storyline in times that are common like WWII... but you can only tell when it comes out, hopefully soon

I think it would suck in modern times. You can't have swords with guns it doesn't work. You can get killed way to easy with a gun, and it is quite impossible to climb modern day N. American buildings.
