  • This is a very relate able song we have all felt like this before its beautifully sad

  • what are some other artists similar to dan?

  • @86gibsonguy Besides the Alkaline Trio?

  • I think the reused lyrics are kind of a shout out to ak3

  • f*ckin love this tune....dan be the man:)

  • this album is the best album to come from any of the alk3 members since good mourning...

  • i really like hearing the lyrics from "I Remember A Rooftop", like a linear note that reads "I really like this lyric and wrote it into both songs, and just happened to get the opportunity to record both"

  • People need to stop assuming and reading into things that arent there.

This is a quality song, love the chorus' lyrics.

  • anyone who wants to bitch about lyrics being reused has absolutely no idea how the creative process works. When its real and as heart felt as any alk3 song, there is no such thing as "reused". If an artist want to repeat himself, Fu#king let him, its because it means something to them, you idiots.

  • i dont like that he reused lyrics from i remember a rooftop, or vice versa. thats just poor lyricism i mean dont get me wrong theyre good lyics but come on

  • @drvonfrie Stfu, Dan wrote those lyrics from "I remember a rooftop", what does it matter where he puts it? The whole Alkaline Trio - Damnesia album is about Matt Skiba wanting to show how they can express Alkaline Trio a different way from their previous albums, show people how they could be different. Dan is merely doing the same thing by writing about a song dedicated to his daughter, and a promise to himself.

  • I think this is the most beautiful song I've ever heard.

  • Dan said that this was his favorite song that he's written, and that Fine was his second.

  • I love this song so much, I also love the fact that I can't hear any autotune at all :-) I studied music for a year so I learnt how to catch autotuning and as a singer myself I know how it gets easier to sustain notes the more you practise :-) x

  • @FilthyMonkeyMitts Dude Dan is just amazing.. Every new song he releases gets better and better, hes truly amazing and I love this album, he's very talented.

  • There's no autotune, that's reverb on the vocals. Dan can actually sing.

  • The second verse are lyrics from I remember a rooftop from AK....or maybe the other was around!

  • @joelstpierre88 I noticed that to, but whatever both of them are pretty much dans songs

  • Autotune? Sorry but I don't hear it. Polished during production? Yes.

  • There isn't any autotune. That's pure vocal masturbation. And i love it. He's a crooner through and through.

  • There is no auto tune in this, what the fuck? That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard.

  • Sounds like some light autotune use for sure. Toward the end of the song, when he sustains his notes it becomes more obvious. Still a good tune though.

  • I Remember a Rooftop lyrics?

  • @punksk8rdude777 yup for a little

  • I love dan. Do you think he is using autotune here?

  • @asonjdj i dont think so, he sounds like that in alot of other songs

  • @asonjdj reverb, not autotune.

  • Thanks for the upload :)
