@Meanstreak5150 I think he means work as in things you don't enjoy doing for money. So if you love music and do it all day its not work. Also applying the 80/20 rule as well is important discovering (say as a musician) the 20% of actions that give you the 80% of results and just doing that over and over again. Just read the book its only £6 and Im sure you can get a refund if you dont like it

Rose: genuine, affable; very much at ease with who he is & what he knows. Ferris: pompous intellectual dilettante. WAY too measured & deliberate,deigning to drop pearls in between nervous ticks of sucking in air in contriving to say something illuminating (as if harbouring gems unknown to us proletariat) and forced jocularity. For all his love of languages he should have known to 'pinpoint' Turkish & Japanese being similar because they are part of the Altaic language group.

@cmtsf2003 i think you have that backwards. Kevin is usually the pompous one. If you have watched the stuff hes been on he shoots down his co hosts a lot. He does it to Tim and to Alex on diggnation a ton. And also Kevin was a tv personality for a long time so of course he comes off as natural and comfortable on camera. Tim is a noob.. so its expected he wouldnt be as comfortable as someone who has done it most of their adult life.

LiveMocha is amazing. Just started and it's been amazing. It might be a little weird at first because there's no training of the alphabet. Learn the alphabet and how to pronounce the characters, then it'll be a sinche! Look me up if you need help (Eric Hamilton). I'm learning Croatian at the moment.

I've used livemocha and I wasn't happy with the language lessons, I chose a language I already knew to see what kind of quality it had as well as tried out a few other languages and it was terrible I wouldn't recommend it for the lessons, for meeting people to chat with it's great, would not pay for livemocha.

I like to just mash words, do some grammar, start reading, watching movies or listening to music and wait for it all to come naturally.
