  • great song love it!!

  • I think the movie with the woman tossing the salad on the grandma's lap is Eraserhead by David Lynch.

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • slightly weird video but I like it.

  • awesome!!!!!!!!

  • amazing choice of: song, films, editing...everything

  • Wow. Agalloch ripped off the riff in this song so blatantly. It's pretty much the intro track "A Celebration for the Death of Man..." off their 2002 album "The Mantle". Even Agalloch's vocalist John Haughm sounds like Douglas Pearce.

  • @Huldrelokk, haha, totally!

  • To Love is to lose And to lose is to Die...

  • What movies are shown in this video? Seventh Seal, obviously. But the movie with the lady stirring on grandma's lap...what's that one?

  • @MrRsnyder717

    Eraserhead

There is also used Persona and Elephant Man

  • What is that film at the beginning of the video?

  • @drakonzebra nvm

  • @kingofgrime1987 But, but I saw scenes from Elephant Man and Eraserhead in there.

  • omg. Death in June + Bergman = epic fucking win

  • I like the sound so much

  • eines der besten videos zur besten musik, wirklich gut !!!

  • Very great video for great music :) thank you

  • And if I fall from Dreams

  • @nierealnaKOLABORACJA film ten to Siodma Pieczec Irgmana Bergmana, polecam!

  • Witaj!

You have good sense of humor :)

Beautiful merging of a Janus classic film and DIJ, also.

  • *ahem* @ 2:28...-_-! What's with the shirtless guy in tight shorts?

That can't possibly be, Patrick Leagas...is it?

  • He's my guru.

  • @tralalalatum One of my fav. by DI6

  • This video is comprised of EPIC WIN.

  • I think I recognize a scene from Eraserhead in there as well.

  • Comment removed

  • brilliant movie

  • Mental orgasm for this combination.

  • @sacredjimi i'll bet jimi, wrote songs in the same length of time. what's wrong with simple chords once in a while? hard rock /metal isn't the most complicated either and some of the best music is relatively simple to play, off the cuff ,with no embellishment in an attempt to be reeeeeally complicated. yeah, i dig the hell outta jimi, but you hard rockers come off looking stupid and pretentious with your delusions of grandeur. mr. complicated my ass.

  • Most beautiful song.

  • All my life is confined into this little piece of fine art.... Thanks to exist :*

  • casi na

  • Could you please stop arguing about pointless nonsense and enjoy the music? Gosh..

  • This is shite

  • @frankbough1955 And you, of course, need to die in a pointless war, or a fucking car fire, or something, and you need to take your entire family with you, lest your tainted DNA continue to spread through the earth.

Please, eat a fucking shotgun already, you fat little CUNT.

  • @passonno you really are a charming person ,very classy. I suppose you are a fan of this faggot nonsense ?

  • @frankbough1955 you seem to use a lot of homophobic slangs, any repressed feelings under there?

  • This song breaks my heart every time.

  • Love it!

  • Love it! Thank u

  • fukin faggot music

  • @frankbough1955

christ you're a bright one, eh?

douglas is indeed gay.. you think about his cock sliding in and out of your honeyed little throat while you try to figure out how to insult me, k?

  • @OrTheThirdPerson another nazi homo ..?.every wonder where your parents went wrong?

  • @frankbough1955 You must be some kind of a bigot, lacking of critical thinking skill and bereft of logic and understanding. I wonder why your parents were brother and sister.

  • @passonno simply trashy...steal images from a great film to make up for the zero musical talent these faggots have ....

  • @frankbough1955 Then, here's an option you illiterate, cunt little man. Fuck off, and don't view that which you don't like.

  • ingmar bergman! such imageries matching with death in june

  • @vamptina Which film? I must own it! I noticed that the scene on the beach reminded me of Jacob and The Man In Black on Lost, and I would not be surprised if they gleaned inspiration from this film, it looks fantastically heavy and dire.

  • @passonno It's from Ingmar Bergmans "Det sjunde inseglet"

This knight returns from the holy wars simply to find his homeland struck by plague, he starts to doubt God and so on.. good movie

  • @passonno the movies name is The Seventh Seals!

  • @redpillguru111

their status as an ns band is to be taken about as seriously as the opinions of the reactionary children who accuse them of it.

    (i.e. the CAPS LOCK crowd.)

  • @OrTheThirdPerson See my rebuttal above. By the way, what movie is this from? Is it a Bergman?

  • awesome

  • the seventh seal was a great movie. im actually really pumped to know alot of other people know about it. great song to.

  • I'm sickened that more intelligent comments are written regarding Grace Jones or Frankie Goes to Hollywood videos. Read a book, talk to people, do, make, say, think.

  • This song is so beautiful...

but I hate the political and moral attitudes behind the band...if there are any hahaha

  • Beauty (and Truth) lies where we find it.

  • @moLeOnPoT Do you know the politics and morals of Douglas Pearce, sole member of Death In June? Though he is indeed smitten with a certain period in history, to dare I say a fetishistic level, I find nothing personally morally objectional, of course morality is very subjective, and politics I could give two shits about. Do you like the music? Do you have friends and family that would be opposed to your choices in art?

  • @moLeOnPoT

    there aren't any :)

  • this is the hollow men by t.s. elliot if it were a song.

    which is to say, beautiful

  • i'm going to ask nonni to make a dij video in iceland.

  • IMMORTAL!!!!!

  • this video was used in a Hari Krishna "how to checkmate death" video. beautiful

  • @markdksc: to give credit where credit is due (and to enlighten), this video uses images from several of Bergman's movies. The "Seventh Seal" is the one with a knight playing chess with Death. Look it up, it's quite good :) (I have no idea how the Hari Krishna fit in here, though)

  • it's how the video fits Prabhupadas lecture in that video. that's all

  • Why does sacredjimi's comment Fall and Fall and Fall and Fall Apart, if you're username is a reference to Jimi Hendrix , He would have dug this track ,so maybe you can appreciate it when you're musical taste matures and mellows? For now keep you're critical comments to yourself Douchebag.

  • So what are you hiding...your profile says "nothing"..apart from maybe a "Trekkie"-link! We'll never all agree on our musical tastes...but don't confuse "simplicity" and "ease of composition" with "quality". Maybe you are a musical maestro or musically brainless ..we don't know. But "taste" is "taste" ...and it is usually aquired. So quite fair for you to say you dont like the song...but dont "rubbish" it because you think it is too simple!

Come on man...add a little value, intellectually!

  • BURN IN HELL

  • Idiot, this is neofolk

  • great music, great video...

  • Nice video & awesome quality. 5/5

  • my favourite DIJ song.

  • Definitely one of my favorite Death In June pieces, and The Seventh Seal, was a nice, nice touch with the famous chess scene. Beautiful.

  • Hey Douglas if you ever read this all the best wishes for you from germany stuttgart

  • anyone know what the film is called?

  • Actually there are 4 films.

The Seventh Seal and Persona by Ingmar Bergman, and Eraserhead and The Elephant Man by David Lynch. Most of the clips are from the Seventh Seal though.

  • Thanks for that - saw Anthony Hopkins at the end and was trying to place the film, guess it's the Elephant Man. Right, might have to check out the Seventh Seal, looks decent. Thanks again.

  • It's the whip, it's the having of a whip hand. Crack the whip! Whip it good! The Guilty have no past...

  • 8 1/2?

  • I totaly adore the song!!!Nice video and probably the one and only Death In June-Fall Apart fan video without fascist imagery.. I really don't think that this is one of his controversial songs and we don't need a controversial video either....

  • i love this song

  • This is AWESOME!!! Great job! BTW this is the best Death in June song!

  • If I remember correctly, the opening to this clip is from the 1963 film "8 1/2" by director "Fellini"

  • I do watch a lot of Fellini, let me know if I am wrong. I just remember supper.

  • Yes, I believe as tralalalatum confirmed, the salad scene is "Eraserhead" edited with Fellini's 8 1/2 throughout vid. Its an interesting edit.I enjoyed the relevance.

  • movies used for this video are: "The Seventh Seal", "Persona" - Ingmar Bergman, "Eraserhead" and "Elephant man" by David Lynch.
