  • NIMBUS is a danish make. The present OHC 4 cyl. C-model was produced in 12,200 numbers from 1934 to 1958 at Fisker & Nielsen factory in Copenhagen. Today known as the NILFISK factory. It is quite amazing that about 4,000 of all produced motorcycles are still running today - though the production stopped for more than 50 years ago. All spare parts except frames are avalable. Some major parts are now produced as new and improved versions. Some few was exported, even to China. Visit nimbus/dk.

  • sweeeet : ]

  • actually,I remember because the name Nimbus was, up to that minute, unheard of for me, and the oil pan is so massive, with the exposed valves only adding to the uniqueness

this one was red, with a frame made of square or rectangular,

the rear brake has an outboard drum, chrome exhaust protector for the leg,and the 4 valve system exposed.

it says nimbus on the gas tank, grey gas tank, two seats, above the rear fender, and the frame mounts for the seats have a rubber bushing

  • saw one in San Gimigniano recently, now I see how it works

    and sounds!

  • This is a Danish produced motorcycle. Though about 3000 produced, none were ever exported. If it were a Nimbus it's very rare to see outside Denmark. Harley Davidson, and probably also alot of other old motorcycles also have exposed valve systems...

  • cool ! exposed exaust valve stems !
