In the beginning when you're given the objective to escape from Pala, escape to the northeast quadrant and you'll always get the Fresh Fish starting point with Carbonell as your boss and the rocket launcher as one of your weapons.

I got a question for the beginning of the game before the first UFLL mission. Where do you pick up a rocket launcher? cause all i find is flam throwers.

well depends on which caracter you chose and which place you start in

You can get it when you begin your tutorial at either Fresh Fish or Lumber Camp. You do this by escaping to the east side of Pala at the start of the game. The character shouldn't really matter.

Yeah you can choose your character. And depending on what happens in the opening part where you have to escape Pala, you get different starting locations.

Have you already completed the game? Because there's a glitch where if you've already completed the game and you keep your saved games and start a new game, your buddies could go hostile on you on the second playthrough.

No I don't have the 360. I'm on the PC version. But I'd recommend that you delete all your saved games, shut down your 360, start it up again and start a new game of Far Cry 2. Your game glitched up on you somehow.

You're not supposed to go back (quite frankly, I've never tried that before). Right after you get your first diamond briefcase (10 diamonds) the game should prompt you to go to Mike's bar and buy a weapon. Take the truck in the garage where you found the diamonds, drive to Mike's bar, go to the weapon shop and buy a weapon (any weapon). Then go next door to the armory and pick up the weapon.

i'm a slow sneaky person in this game mostly because the aiming on consoles sucks, but also because it is my favorite style. it was cool how you did act 1 so quickly. it took me a day and a half to beat it the first time.

Yeah like he said. Also, there are only 4 weapon shop missions in Act 1. Once you've done them all, you'll have to wait until Act 2 before you'll start seeing a guy at the weapon shop again.

This is a known glitch (the 27% glitch). You're got a corrupted save game. Delete your most recent save game and reload a previous save game and continue from there. If that doesn't work, repeat (delete most recent save and reload a previous save).

PLEASE HELP!!!! For some reason right when this video starts it shows you getting searched by that black guy before you go into the church for the malaria pills. but for some reason when ever i walk up to him he does nothing but stand their even if i point my gun at him he says nothing. please help it is the second day i could not finish this mission. is there something i need to do or didnt do? Go to your game menu and make sure you have fully completed your previous mission. Also which faction headquarters are you trying to get a mission from? The APR or the UFLL? And which mission are you trying to get? First? Second? Third? Also, what percentage of the game has been completed? (Check the game menu.) More information please. It could be you've got a corrupted save game. If so you'll have to delete your most recent save game and restart from an earlier save game.

Yeah that's what's supposed to happen. You'll eventually die,pass out, whatever. It's part of the game. Then a load screen will come on and after you'll be piled up with a whole bunch of other guys in the back of this truck heading south.

I play on Normal difficulty. Regarding practice: Yeah I spent considerable time figuring out the quickest and easiest route into and out of each mission location and working out contingency plans. As for the actual execution, Far Cry 2 is so damn unpredictable, it's hard to practice for everything it throws at you. Especially when you do it all in one go.
