  • I have taken large amounts of vitamins since I was 16 years old. At 37 I had a sonogram of my heart and aorta etc done...the technician told me i had the cleanest heart and surrounding vessels she had ever seen...mind you, my diet for the previous 15+ years had been 80% fast food or processed food..i was 100 pounds overweight..ate a lot of eggs and meat..Kind of odd as I expected to have some build up considering my diet and that I never exercised.

  • 1Limit meat intake to 1-2 times per week

    2 Avoid artificial sweeteners and diet products (chemicals that will actually make you fat and give you diabetes)

    3 Exercise 2-3 times per week start by walking if you don't like to exercise

    4 Increase water intake, try lemon in your water

    5 Decrease caffeine intake

    6 Eat only whole unprocessed foods, organic fruits and veggies if possible locally grown is better then supermarket purchased and whole grains

  • Ok I drink soft drinks and I am skinny and I only eat 2 meals a day and I don't snack on anything. sometimes I eat 3 meals a day to balance my weight. I weight at least 2 times a month. do this and you will lose weight. I promise. Sugar callories are easyer to burn off than fat callories but you need to combine some fat callories. Even if you don't excerise you will still lose weight.

    I always say that I prefer to eat my calories than drink my calories. My only exception is my breakfast smoothie. But I stay away from soda, coffee, and alcohol and all those other popular drinks

  • @paperbridgeblablahs if it's cardio ( like running or swimming etc) generally 20-30 minutes is fine, but if you're looking for something to do at home try power yoga or a cardio dance routine. both you can find on dvds and both will kick your ass lol

    That depends if 100lbs is healthy for you. How tall are you? How old are you? Do you exercise? Provide a little bit more information and you might find people more able to give good suggestions and tips. You might want to check out this diet program rezvhealthcom. It should help you lose your body fat, and achieve your ideal weight.

    My advice is don't listen to Lisa's advice. To paraphrase Caroline Bingley from Pride and Prejudice, "She doesn't know anything, out of the common way."

    Eating fat does not make you fat. It was not a survival advantage for animal fats to become triglycerides (body fat) for our hunter gatherer ancestors. Grass fed, organic animal fats are very healthy.

    I recommend Eat Fat, Get Thin by Barry Groves, PhD.

  • These tips are great. I definitely need to work on refining them in my diet though. I have completely cut out sweetened drinks and alcohol, those have sooo many calories that was the first thing I did. I like crystal light if I want something sweet to drink instead of just water. As for meat, I love tuna sandwiches! I am already losing weight but just following tips likes these. I am vloggin weekly on youtube too, check out my channel, I have already lost some weight!

  • #3 - 3 fruit and 3 veg is really short of the mark and followed by #4 "ple~nty of fish and shellfish" is just the wrong message. Raw veg especially leafy greens should make up the vast majority of your diet. I suggest to eliminate processed foods , dairy and grains for a good foundation to your diet and normalizing your weight.

    I'm a 14 year old boy who needs to lose around 10 pounds. I only drink low fat milk (0.5 %), water and diet coke and when i feel munchy i'll grap an apple or a banana. I'm also playing soccer with my friends nearly every day. Will this help me lose those damn 10 pounds in a month? Hope you'll reply :)

  • Drink your vitamins not pop. Stevia is awesome! Throw your sugar in the trash.

  • God two of those tips were terrible. Meat is not a necessary part of anyone's diet and men certainly don't need two drinks a day. She should have said to avoid alcohol all together!

  • @darmokandgalad Maybe you don't feel that they apply to your life, but they are certainly not "terrible" tips for many many people. Alcohol: 'no more than', not that you have to drink. Meat: her point was emphasizing the "lean" and the fish since many people eat mostly fattier cuts of red meat and don't often opt for fish. I wonder about your assertion that "meat is not a necessary part of anyone's diet." hmm...If we all stopped eating meat, would there be enough non-meat food for us all?

  • @twilightfreak842 Close enough. :) Harvard School of Public Health put out their own food pyramid that doesn't have serving suggestions, it just says to focus certain foods more than others without giving hard and fast numbers. Google "Healthy Eating Pyramid" for info. It's pretty interesting...

  • this is rly cool when i hear ppl saying stuff about pop is bad, im 15 years old, all my friends drink pop, my cousins when i go to see them, lol i always weird out ppl i meat becuase i never ever drink pop. not that im not aloud to,or that my body does something weird to it, its just weird i friggin hate that stuff and dont know why!!!

  • go on the fit for life diet plan, im on it and ive lost a lot of weight i mean i was 128 now im 121 and ive only been on it for 2 weeks, nothing but fruits in the morning as much as you want then switch to nothing but veggies at night as much as you want, activia yogurt and non-fat milk will help with calcium, other than that cook stirfry with extra virgin olive oil, drink lots of green tea/water and DO CARDIO!!! email me if you have questions!

  • personaly i think the recommended daily 1500 is way way over, ive been doing about 600 calorie a day eating with no ill effects. broth is not a healthy thing to live on alone. both water and broth can be used and should be used as apetite supressants. I also eat rice and noodles and personaly stay away from alot of diary products as i believe diary is whats doing this to our country as people in china, japan and india have largely skinny people and dont use diary products like we do.

    breakfast: cereal with fat free milk

    lunch: yogurt with granola (idk if it is fat free. there is only 1 yogurt option at my school)

    dinner: i eat a normal dinner. ususally grilled chicken with a vegetable or shrimp or salmon.

    exercise: i exercise for 1 hour 5 times a week (sometimes more)

  • If you actually eat just that and exercise as much as you say, you will start to lose weight, if you're not already. Another important thing to consider is portion size. You might be eating the right foods, but you also might be eating too much of it. While I was losing weight myself, I noticed that I didn't have a good enough lunch, so when it was time for dinner, I ate too much. Really look into portion sizes.

  • Another tip: Count your calories. This way you don't have to eat the same thing every day, but by knowing how many calories you should consume, you can allow yourself to eat other foods as long as they fit into that count. (While losing weight, aim for no more than 1500 calories per day and no less than 1200). And don't think of this as a diet, think of it as a life style change. A right mind set is just as important as eating right.

    Hello, I suggest you to go to a nutritionist if you haven't done it yet.

    I would suggest you to eat different things every day. It's important to vary your meals as it is also important the quality of food and the portions (not too much). Don't forget fruit and vegetables.Drink green tea, lots of water and vary on your exercise. Important: talk with experts who can help you to fix a personalized program.

    Good luck and don't worry. Your determination is already success!

  • cut out cereal. cut out carbs. no bread pasta etc. eat fruit for breakfast add some cottage cheese wit it if u like tht. eat a gud healthy lunch. salad maybe. than eat a small dinner like sum more fruit or eat some vegetables.

    breakfast: small meal

    lunch: filling healthy meal.

    dinner: small meal.

    eat small portions of meats n fish.

    excercise at least 3x a week for faster results.

  • @PeaceLuva882 well i think u need to change ur excersize schedule to at least exercize 2 hours eache day and 2 x7= 14 hours of excersize a week. 3 hours is 1 pound lost. so 3 divided by 14 is 4 pounds and 1,500 calories lost in 1 week!!!.Just excersize the way i told u above and you will lose weight fast and dont eat junk food or soda

I don't know if you do it or not but if you snack/nibble or what ever that's where calories build up i never lost any weight until i stopped it all together and eat only 3 times a day. Some people say don't eat after Eight Pm, But i bumped it up to Six. I lost 110 pounds, I watched my calories & fat grams. My before & after is on My channel. Hope this can help ya!

Like if your lifting weights and you're curling 10 pounds right now (Or less) then in two weeks bump it up to 12/15 pounds. Just an example. That goes for any other work out you're doing, training HARD builds tons of muscle.

  • Thankyou Caine260 for explaining the real reason why america is gaining weight. Saturated fat does not affect weight gain. It actually slows it down, if one consumes a large quantity of carbs.
