I had a 1 year old German Shepherd. He was a great dog, friendly. Then one day I found a poor orphaned kitten in the woods. I brought it inside, hoping they would be fast friends. Instead, Buster, the Shepherd, began to snarl and went for the little guy. I tried to stop frisky Buster, but too late, he had ripped the little kitten to shreds. There was blood everywhere. I was so sad :(

I loved introducing our kittens to our dogs. Kittens are naturally playful so it was cute to see them jump around and play with our chihuahuas. And our dogs kind of just laid there and sniffed them haha.

@Valyn66 - When cats hiss, it isnt necessarily a hostile action, cats can sometimes hiss from pleasure, excitement or joy. I swear to god I've seen them hiss as laughter as well, it's kinda like swearing for humans, it's not always to express negative emotions :) Kittehs are harder to get close to than dogs, but they are both loyal, intelligent and devoted once you do get close to them.

@facepalmization You're probably right. I've only ever "owned" one cat (belonged to live-in girlfriend at the time) and it was cool but I never really warmed up to it. It was fun to watch it chase lasers, but I really kind of prefer that eager-to-please guilelessness of a loyal pooch.

Nothing wrong with cats, really. Though I'm not such a fan of the phantom cats that hide from everyone. I have one friend who has a cat but you'd never know it. I've only ever seen streaks of orange lol.

This is one of the best things I've ever seen in my life, I think I laughed the whole time. The dog is so awesome, relaxed, gentle, patient and curious with the kittens. The lil black cat was like "I'm not having it"! Lol and the little golden kitten was so adorable when it warmed up to the dog and wanted to play. Loved when the kitten kept attaching itself to the dog's leg and thumping with its back feet. So adorable!! Made my day.
