But though I do not FULLY understand the complexity and beauty of the work accomplished at the cross, I do see in that the Love of God and obedience of a Son through whom Im saved from eternal damnation. But when we Muslims say alive, we mean literally because he wasn’t crucified/died, he is with God now alive, and he will be back (to tell u Matthew 7:22), not like a ghost, not like a spirit, but like us with flesh and bones. If the testaments should be false, then Islam has a serious problem, since the Hadith's spec tells about Muhammad being read to from the Gospels, and among others, Tabari mentions the diciple John.
