  • sounds like a 60s track and the roses covered it!!!!! ( i know, i know.............. the roses did the original before you all start!!) not bad effort tho

  • actually this is a fckn great cover, no question. just, im sorry, bit of a dodgy band name....

  • sounds like something out of a David Lynch film....yeah, brown wasn't always a great live singer, but he nailed this in the studio, and mostly the song is about the epic guitar solo, the version of which here, bears very little resemblance to the original.

Nice try, but if you're gonna dabble with one of the greatest pop rock songs ever produced, invariably you're not gonna end up smelling of roses.

  • fucking murdered

  • Damn it Jon!!!! Put this band back together and come to the States!!!!!!

  • I like interesting covers and this is interesting. This song is sacred, but it's nice for someone to give it a twist rather than do a straightforward cover. Ends badly though - not sure why they tw*tted the end up so much, but until then it sounds cool

  • Great band, great cover of a song that is treasured by my generation.

  • At least this version is in tune. As much as i like the roses, Ian brown was and is a tuneless bastard.

  • sounds alot like raveonettes

  • what a surprise! I feel an affinity with this band because of the use of "codeine" and then I heard this Roses cover... love it! they've made a piece of 80's manchester sound like a 60s boy/girl pop song. very well done!

  • I must admit this is growing on me, though I would have thought it sacrilege.

  • I love this band. Jon and Lou are awesome!! The whole band is, as a matter of fact. I've never seen them live, but everyone who has seen them says they are fantastic.

  • This sounds like the Brady Bunch Meets Abba. I wanna puke up rainbow sprinkles while wearing bell bottoms.

  • totally talentless. Give up and get rid of that pub singer girl.

  • @mormor39 pub singer? wheres your single of the week? or album? oh wait you dont have one do you... shut up and get a grip!"!!

  • Saw these guys last month and thought they were great bought the album and of course its great. i adore the Stone Roses and I am the Resurrection is one of my favourites. This version is different and I think very well done. I must say i prefer these to the Fratellis more grown up which is more that i can say about those people who call the girl. she has a lovely voice and is ideal for this band! Loving it!!

  • this is better than the fratellies

  • @sallyfieldrequired

no way are they better, overll theryre as good, great ideas

  • I forget what its called but the opening sounds like a beatles song from rubber soul in 1965

  • I really like the Fratellis, LOVE The Stone Roses.

I've heard 38secs of this and I'm cringing. Loose the chick Jon, get back to the lads. It's a bit like a real ugly bird at 5 to 3, it should never be recorded and played to your mates!

  • I like it

  • come on to fuck. this is the worst ever..ever!! dont ever try and cover the roses. john lawler 'should' know better

  • This is fucking terrible. Truely terrible.

  • very brave. but as a big roses fan i love this. very good

  • Lmfao this is fucking pish

  • Excellent band, had never heard of them before edinburgh at new year..and as a big roses fan i think this cover is brilliant..

  • I like it as long as it doesnt get airtime on the radio and tv etc, it's the kind of track that you could learn to hate if you heard it too much. Otherwise it's a winner.

  • Winning comment : )

  • beautiful
